I have no problems with a regular roof or a retractable one. I think there is something to be said for our team having no gas left in the tank come December.
Actually, what you have to hope for IS the Retractable roof.mazz030 said:Please vote NO to adding a retractable roof on the stadium. Our players practice in the heat and humidity all through the summer and this gives us a small advantage on gameday when teams who practice in cold weather areas come to town.
Do you think they would put roofs on Giants stadium, Foxboro stadium, Rich Stadium?????? Heck NO. They want to have an advantage.
JUST SAY NO!! Let the Jets, Bills and Patsys sweat their butts off in September!
:fire:
I have yet to hear one argument that would convince me that is actually an issue.ckparrothead said:I have no problems with a regular roof or a retractable one. I think there is something to be said for our team having no gas left in the tank come December.
No truer words have ever been spoken.iceblizzard69 said:Dome teams are notoriously soft and have never won a Super Bowl that wasn't played in a dome. Besides the fact that football is a game that is meant to be played outdoors on grass, putting a dome or retractable roof would make us soft. The elements are part of the game, don't take them away.

the dolphins have embarassed us for the last 20 years.
I agree that people are used to the heat but they aren't used to the humidity in Florida. The heat is totally different from Florida than Arizona.shoey920 said:Yes temperature can be an advantage but not as big as you think,
1.
Everyone practices in the heat in training camp and 90 degrees isn't uncommon anywhere.
2.
Players are from everywhere in the world and know what heat feels like
3.
You can simulate heat preety easily, Cold is another story
4.
In The bills famous home opener against the patriots on Field Temperature was 100+ degrees
Nice theroy but it really doesn't matter

You are way off here.TheFlashWade said:Only until the proud generation that witnessed Miami's greatness begins to die off...look at the cities demographics now; like 60% latino--a culture that values baseball not football--and the kids are not old enough to remember the Dolphin's days
the city was only a football town because the football team was a winner. We have the worst most fickle sports fans in the nation and i hate it. The Miami Hurricanes are the greatest college team in history over the last 20 years and we only sell out when FSU and UF come to town because they bring their fans with them.
