I've got a nasty feeling that he may be on Oakland's short list because of his history with and ability to maximize Randy Moss' skills. Al Davis is looking for an offensive minded coach too.

If Scott leave any guesses about Saban OC at LSU, Jimbo Fisher?

Cold Pizza doesnt mention Linehan

I know this really means nothing but on cold pizza's 1st and 10 they went over all the job openings in the NFL and neither woody or skip mentioned linehan going to ne of the those teams...i hope there right

I don't know if Al Davis would try to plug another guy fresh off being the O coordinator for the Dolphins into the head coaching job. I'd bet Turner left a bad taste in his mouth.

yeah but he is getting interviews with 8 teams out there looking. I dont care what Clayton says, he is not the end all say all.

That's why I said "REAL" shot at getting a job as HC. I understand he might get interviews, but as far as someone actually mentioning him as a serious consideration as a hiring, I think that's a bet far fetched at this time. I think most of the names you hear out there. Martz, Childress, Mariucci, Kubiak, Fassal, even Haslett have better chances of actually being offered a job.

You may be right. But with Al Davis lifetime infatuation with the long ball, I wouldn't be very surprised if he offered the job to Linehan. I would, however, be surprised if Linehan accepted it.

8 coaches openings as of right now...wow.

i think we will lose linehan to one of those eight.

If Linehan gets a HC job...

Just say if Linehan gets a head coaching job in the off season, would you welcome back Norv Turner to be our offensive coordinator again? Ricky Williams had some great years under his offense, and he is clearly a much better offensive coordinator than he is a head coach.

I wouldn't really be disappointed. Some will say he ran Ricky into the ground but that was more because Norv was handcuffed by Wannstedt. Norv is a pretty creative OC and I think he has to knowledge and ability to get alot out of this offense.
Still, I seriously doubt he's asked to come back.

Turner's best days may be behind him. You'd figure that he'd do more with Oakland's offense this year but he didn't. One disturbing difference between him and Lihenam is that Turner likes spreading the ball around to a fault, IMO. He didn't plan around Chris Chambers or Randy McMichael enough when he was here (apart from his strong reliance on Ricky). He goes to Oakland and both Randy Moss and Jerry Porter don't get near enough plays designed for them and their offense stagnates. I'm starting to see a pattern here. The Redskins' offense wasn't that great when he was a HC over there either. I'm only saying that Turner may not be the best choice although I'm not suggesting that he would be a bad choice either. His best days were clearly with Dallas.

Looks pretty balanced to me.

Every incompletion/INT....there's been a play to be made. Hard to knock Linehan right now.

If he leaves it will be a big loss, it might make it easier for Saban to demote Gus though...

Nice pic. I can't help but think, that was the worst passer in Dolphins history throwing the ball, that pass isn't even close to the big O...

I didn't realize Baggett coached under Saban before!

Charlie Baggett was named to the Dolphins’ coaching staff on January 25, 2005, by Head Coach Nick Saban. Baggett is a veteran of eight seasons as an NFL assistant coach, including the last five as wide receivers coach with the Minnesota Vikings where he helped put together one of the most potent offenses in the NFL over this stretch, along with current Dolphins offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.

This will be his second stint working under Saban, as he was the wide receivers/associate head coach on Saban’s Michigan State staff from 1995-98. He also worked on the same staff as Saban at Michigan State from 1983-87.

If Linehan leaves, he maybe qualified as OC.
