MERGED: Sherman and Coyle AGREE to terms with Dolphins

I smell something around here, it has been a while but it smells familiar somehow, it's really sweet and wonderful...could it be...maybe...Hope????? Maybe Ross has struck gold here and brought in a winner. Philbin has certainly perked up the fanbase and seems to have us pointed in the right direction with the right people on the bus to make it happen.

Don't want to be a debbie downer but I remember many of us saying this same thing when Henning and Nolan came on board. I hope they work but let's not get carried away until we see the fruit on the field.

I remember a lot of people being excited about Nolan and, for the most part, he delivered. However, I don't remember a whole lot of people being happy at all about Henning because of his extremely conservative playcalling and antiquated approach. We were all sold a bill of goods though with Parcells, glad that fat SOB is gone!

Dolphins Offense - TM - Dolphins

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports the Dolphins have agreed to terms with Mike Sherman as offensive coordinator and Kevin Coyle as defensive coordinator.

Sherman won three division titles as Packers head coach from 2000-2005, breaking the franchise record for rushing in 2003 and for passing in 2004. Sherman has used the West Coast offense at every coaching stop and figures to be the primary play-caller in Miami. Texas A&M prospect Ryan Tannehill, widely considered the third-best QB in the draft, played under Sherman and could be an option for the Dolphins. A coaching veteran of 35 years, Coyle is expected to bring a 4-3 scheme to the defense.

All hires so far seem to be good ones....let's see how that translates to the product on the field, but I am digging the vibe.

Alright Peyton who you wanna play for: idiot cluster f's Rex & Sparano or smart, respected offensive minds of Philbin & Sherman?

If Coyle is able to get even more from our secondary, and Sherman is able to make our Offense the in your face attacking offense we have all been hoping for, 2012 is going to be amazing.

Next most important coach to be hired is the QB coach IMO. Would be nice if we could get a guy that knows how to coach up a QB like Clements did with Rodgers and Flynn or Harbaugh did with Alex Smith.

Most likely Tom Rossley who has worked with Sherman at Holy Cross, Green Bay and Tex A&M
