MERGED: Sherman and Coyle AGREE to terms with Dolphins

Neither a gimmick nor a Cam Cameron type, Philbin's the man with the plan!

2 years ago we had Sparano & Henning, now we have Philbin & Sherman :)

The idea of a positive, aggressive offense.........now I know what the old folks must have felt when they first saw colour on TV!

If this is the case, how strong a possibility do u feel it is that we draft Tannehill?

I personally like Tannehill. Still a bit raw as a QB (he played 2 and a half years as a WR) but he has a lot of talent.

As for the hirings, I like both moves.

Not a fan of Mike Sherman the head coach, but he's one helluva play caller.

Coyle deserves a shot at being a DC. People talk about the job he did this year with Chris Crocker, Gibril Wilson, Reggie Nelson, Pacman Jones, and Kelly Jennings as his main players. He also got big years out of Deltha O'Neal and Tory James in the past.

Tom Rossley would be an interesting hire. He did a decent job as QB coach for the Aggies.

so happy to hear this. I love our coaching staff so far......now lets get us a QB

Ozzy rules!!

But wait, Ross is an idiot and Ireland is out of place! There's no way they would find the right head coach to make these kind of moves...

Why is everyone so excited about Sherman?! I cringed when I heard the news. I followed A&M football closely and the guy doesn't have 'it.' To be honest, hes a weasel. Instead of going for that killer play or drive he lets teams come back and steal the game. He relies on the other team committing mistakes as opposed to going out there and getting a win. I understand he is not the head coach, but I dont want that kind of mentality on this coaching staff. We need a "killer" like Bill Billicheat.

I love both of these hires. The fact that Andy Reid wanted Coyle as his DC in Philly tells me this guy was ready to make the climb. Andy Reid has done (For the most part) a pretty good job of bringing in assistants. I agree, Sherman as a HC would have sent me into a meltdown, but, as the OC I can accept it much more, and listening to Joe today talking about no huddle attacking style of offense just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up......
