How about WH totally screws with everyone and hires Mike Shula as HC. He had a great season last year, and many people were wondering why bama fired him, that was before we found out the little man was a liar.
 
Wouldnt mind seeing him as a coordinator. Didnt Shula stink it up in a previous NFL HC job? Im very leery of hiring guys from the college ranks with a bum past NFL experience.

Dont get stuck on a name just because his dad was great.

Not stuck on the name because of his dad, I just think it would be a fun way to mix things up! It would be funny!
 
"it would be funny" lol... I don't think that's funny enough for a couple losing seasons.

Didnt mean to imply you were, but I know some people will run with it simply because of the name. Still, hiring an NFL HC is not the time to be funny. If you mean it as a way to get back at Saban, I think its clear he doesnt give a turd so the gesture would be meaningless.

Like I said though, wouldnt rule him out as OC. God knows we need a new one, no matter who the new HC will be.

David Shula = Bengals HC
Mike Shula = Tampa Bay OC
 
how about Don comes back? he is like the same age as Gibbs who has come back recently

forget that, Don is 10 years older than Gibbs is

I think Mike needs a OC job in the NFL before becoming an NFL head coach, one day I beleive he will be a good NFL head coach if he wants but not yet

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Given the Dons close relationship w/ Wayne. I could see making Mike the new OC under a proven NFL HC (say....Bates) for a few years and then handing the reigns to him. One thing for sure...he would have the Don as a "consultant" for everything he did....regardless of the position he held. Kind of cool actually. I think he got hosed in Bama.
 
i say bring the DON BACK at least if we lose it will be with dignity and hard work!
