Free agency is still open.. and after looking through the list of available players there are a few that i would not mind having...

Kevin Jones RB-Detroit
Takeo Spikes LB - Philli
Ty Law CB- kansas city
Chris Henry WR- Cinci
Eric Moulds WR- Tenn
Cedric Wilson WR- Pitt

Now I wouldnt be jumping for joy if we signed any of these guys, but i would be a little bit excited.
kevin jones i think we should go for him because he def proved he can play, just injuries are a concern (but if we have 3 injury prone backs, they cant all get injured right?)..
Takeo Spikes would kinda be pumped but i know he is old and i know he is comin off a shoulder injury that might keep him from being ready next year, but i think if we can get him cheap thats def a plus.
Ty law is def old and a bit slow, but i think he still wants to play and we could use any help we can get in the secondary.
Chris Henry is def a big trouble maker but i think he can develop into one of the best in the league if Big tuna keeps him in shape.
Eric Moulds- not to sure bout this one cuz he is really old, but he is a big physical guy and we could use some more depth.
Cedric Wilson -being from pitt myself i have seen a lot of this guy and he truly can make some big plays.. he got into some trouble recently thats y he got cut, but its nothing huge.

of all the guys there give me Spikes

definately don't want any part of Henry (turd) or Moulds (done)

If we were as good as the Pats I'd say, take a shot. However we can't afford problems. We need to get better and every little distraction would slow that process.

Simple answers..

Besides, and you said it yourself, way too many "if's" with all these guys

I like Spikes and Kevin Jones but i dont think we need either one of them. We could use Spikes but he would probably demand a good amount of money, and coming off of an injury, wouldnt be a smart move for us.

I wouldnt want any of those guys on this team.

Jones, is a powerful runner, but that injury of his is a big weak spot, plus he would probably be looking for a pretty big contract. We dont need that...

spikes & law... too old. I mean if we were REALLY desperate for a corner, I guess we could... but I'd rather not. Age is also the concern for spikes... just not worth it. Lets work on getting young guys and developing them.

henry, moulds and wilson. Moulds is done... ancient. henry is a thug, keep him far away from this team. Wilson... I dont know... the character issue bugs me, other than that i just dont know enough about him to make a call..

bottom line though... These guys are still free agents for a reason... there just isnt interest in them

Chris Henry came from Cincinatti, not Cleveland.

That being said the only one I would even consider is Takeo. Everyone else...Thanks but no thanks.

of all the names i really like moulds it would give us leadership at the wr position and it would be good for beck's learning curve to have an exp. wr

Always been a fan of Jones. Too bad i don't think he would have a spot on this team. I think we are pretty solid in the RB department.

I posted a similar thing a month ago but with a couple of diff players.
I like these players in kinda this order
Shane Olivea OG
A Otogwe Safety he is restriced but worth it 8 int's and 75 tackles last year
Ian Gold / Rosevelt Colvin LB
Larry Tripplett DT
Andre Dyson/Dominique Foxworth CB
Bo Scaife TE
Kevin Jones RB.
Chris Canty DE
BArry Sims/Anthony Clement OT

Any of these players would be fine with me I like Olivea the best cause he had one bad year everyone writes him off but he was a stud before that and is still very young.
Otogwe is a great FS and had a crazy good year last year
Gold I like more than Colvin he was a tackling machine in Denver
Tripplett is young and would make instant impact on DLine
I have always liked Dyson and Foxworth is decent at CB
Scaife would save us a pick on TE for a year or two

Kevin Jones - is one of the 2 fantasy backs I block every year in my yahoo auto draft because I know he will be injured every year no matter what and he always lives up to it. I wouldn't take him if he payed us to play here (by the way travis henry is the other even when he went to the Broncos this year and was hyped up, i still blocked him and he still got injured)

Takeo Spikes - I could live with him as depth with as many LB as Parcells likes to keep. We need vet leadership for all the young pups he wants to bring in. Depends on the price though.

Ty Law: His career is over. Don't need his attitude.

Chris Henry - HELL NO. He has had more chances then Pacman and still fails. NO NO NO

Eric Moulds - So beat up he needs a wheel chair to play at this point so unless they allow that and we can put rocket boosters on the chair that is a no go for launch Houston.

Cedric Wilson - havent looked into him much so no opinion at the moment.

Even though I attacked the post I like the fresh thinking. Keep it up

I don't want any of them, either. The Pats can both police themselves with their own players, and they have Belichick who runs a tight ship. We have the coaching staff, but we've lost a lot of leaders among our players. After we've turned over more of our roster we can consider whether a possible head case is worth the trouble.

On 2nd thought, the guy I'd cut some slack to on that list is Kevin Jones, because he'd be off that fake grass in Detroit and back playing on the real stuff down in Miami. As a guy off the bench he'd be insurance against Ronnie or Ricky having a harder than expected time coming back & staying healthy. Otherwise, I think we're going to use a mid-round pick on a RB, and grabbing Jones might save that pick for a different position.

I would automatically quit being a Dolphins fan if we tried picking up Jones. This would prove to me our current staff has no idea what is going on. Jones is terrible, a loser, and the perfect definition of a succubus, a person that will never ever ever live up to what you think they might. 1,000,000% NO, An insurance policy is something that doesn't fall victim to what you have, jones is injured = 100% of our team. PLEASE NO
