Sorry to hear that. Maybe you guys will be the next team that proves the "Ewing Theory."
 
It sounds like Fiedler and Rodney Harrison are more than likely done for the year as well.

Actually, the "Ewing Theory" really wouldn't apply here. It has to be a player that is universally acknowledged to be the biggest reason for a team's success. Spikes probably isn't the best example, even if he's an excellent LB. If McGahee went down and, with the training wheels off the offense, JP Losman suddenly started to look like Jim Kelly, THAT would be a good example of the Ewing Theory.

The former is no great loss, but the latter certainly is. One has to wonder how much longer the Patriots can hold that patchwork secondary together.
 
The Bills are in a even deeper hole now.
 
Spikes is such a good player. Even though he was on the Bills I always respected how he carried himself and played the game with heart and tenacity. Hopefully he'll be at full strength next year.
 
That is unfortunate to say the least. Thats like the Ravens with no Ray Lewis, or the Dolphins without Zach. He was the absolute heart and soul of that defense.
