If we want to give Sage a few starts to see what he could do i wouldnt be upset. However, Im not impressed with what any of our qbs have done in owning the oppositions 2nd or 3rd teamers. None of our qbs has fared well against the other teams 1st teamers and taht is by far the most concerning thing I can take from this preseason. Even if it is only preseason I would have liked to have seen an inkl.ing of competance
 
Sigh, whenever there is someone who brings up the fact that he plays well "against the 2-3rd string players" there will always be another person who brings up the fact that he is THROWING and playing ALONGSIDE "the 2-3rd string offense" as well. If anyone deserves a FAIR SHOT it's Sage. He's been forced to ride the pine all these years and all these years when they ask him to fill the void he fills it well save a few times where the game was pretty much out of reach anyway. Timing cant be any better for him to finally get the nod.

Actually Sage is also the most mobile of our QBs.
 
i think he is by far our best quarterback from what i have seen in preseason his passes really fly nice perfect arc and spiral i was very impressed and thats not the first time he has impressed me, however he has dissapointed me a few tims as well. oh well were not looking to good at QB
 
Vaulting a player that quickly will make the team seriously scratch their heads. I say start Gus and put Sage at second string. If Gus sucks, then our boy Sage will be in there soon enough.
 
Hell Im thinking ... in game 5 we go without a QB .. just put Ricky and Ronnie in the backfield with 4 tight ends and alternate direct snaps to them.
 
Yep, lets play a Qb that played against 3rd string and some of hte 2nd string players of the Falcons......yep, he will be able to pick apart the best of the best defenses in the regular season.
 
i didn't watch the game. i just checked NFL.com stats though.

why did gus only throw 3 passes? it says he was 2/3 for 10 yards.

is that true?
