The Dolphins acquired running back Lee Suggs and tight end Tim Massaquoi off waivers Sunday, a source said.

STRONG POINTS
Massaquoi is a good athlete with the quick feet and playing speed to make plays as a receiver. He is quick off the ball into his route vs. air, and can get separation from the defender. He has good hands to reach out and pluck the ball away from his body. He gives a good effort as a blocker down field and can drive defensive ends down the line of scrimmage on down/side blocks when he blocks aggressively. He displayed toughness in 2005 playing through a painful right wrist injury -- he played the second half of the season with his wrist in a wrap/cast.
WEAKNESSES
Massaquoi is a thin-looking tight end on the "Hoof" and lacks the playing strength that is ideal for the position. On straight ahead run blocks, he can't get movement and can be stood up and stacked at the point of attack. He is not a fire-off the ball run blocker and tends to be more of a stand, grab and push run blocker. He is not an explosive player and cannot stretch the field and get separation deep. He does not run aggressively after the catch and goes down too easily vs. arm/grab tackles.

imo suggs is a really good signing. when healthy he has done very well with the browns. when healthy he is better then sammy morris, so this is an obvious plus signing. ronnie brown, sammy morris, lee suggs, and travis minor gotta say im happy with that RB crew.

Yeah but word around league circles was he looked heathly and things didn't go down right in the JETS trade. Some say they failed him on purpose once they realized that Barlow could be had for so low. Who knows. I'm sure Saban looked into this and spoke to someone in the know about Suggs.
