hey i know you guys want to donate through finheaven, but if there is no way you can always donate through www.redcross.org
Thanks! That will be my next alternative. I guess I wanted to let our own here at Finheaven know, that we may disagree with each other from time to time, but when it's all said and done, we are a great family that sticks together, no matter what.:)

My name is Johnny and I am a new poster and I live in Shreveport,Louisiana so we weren't hit but it has been a stronger wind than usual and people are just in awe. I work at Krogers and today it has been very sad to see the people from New Orleans come in and just be so sad.
Johnny thanks for sharing your day with us. Try to be strong for them, and let them know that things will get better for them.

down here in Miami we know what they are going through, Katrina was nothing like Andrew in 92 but it hit us hard. I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Those poor Saints fan's, what do you guys think is going to happen to New Orleans as a whole?

I heard they are planning to evacuate the entire, but it is going to be very hard to do, the city is under water and there is no way to pump the water out, they have nowhere to put it. after a couple of days or weeks infections and diseases are going to linger on the whole city.

I think the remaining population in New Orleans is gonna get evacuated. The city will cease to exist for a while until they can find a way to get all the water out. Even then, there is going to be a lot of rebuilding that will need to be done. My guess is that the Saints will have to play somewhere else. There is just no way the city infrastructure will support the team for at least a few weeks, if not much longer.

Rose Bowl, possible Angels stadium in Anaheim. Could play at Canton as well, just a thought to be closer to the fans.

Canton is still so far away that it's really irrelevant whether it or LA is closer. keep in mind a lot of Saints fans are going to be re-located for a while anyway. I think they will try to play in state first, like the Bears a few years ago.
