Thanks! That will be my next alternative. I guess I wanted to let our own here at Finheaven know, that we may disagree with each other from time to time, but when it's all said and done, we are a great family that sticks together, no matter what.:)
Amen that Brother!

Right now these folks don't have a place to live, get food or water. In short order the Feds should get them into some hotels and federal housing facilities scattered all throughout the south and southeast. Believe it or not, our local news teams here in St. Louis ran across at least 4 families that had travelled all the way up I-55 through LA, then AR, and onto St. Louis JUST TO FIND A HOTEL VACANCY! WOW! That's unbelievable, and it's only going to get worse with the levees continuing to fail in NO.

I don't have an appreciable amount of cash to give, but if there are any fin fans (or not) out there that need a place to live, they're welcome in my home for as long as they need. Just give a holler. God Bless.

Hello to all! To AJ and staff. I know that the information such as addresses are personal, and confidential. We all know that DD28, our fellow brother had to leave New Orleans and go to Alabama. My question is can we assist our fellow fans that live in the area if assistance is needed through Fin heaven in any means? If we can, count me in! We always have each others back through thick, and thin, that's what makes us Proud Dolphin Fans!:) :beerbang:
You're a good man.

Wife and I just donated $$ via www.redcross.org. Don't care if it goes to a family of Bills, Patriots and Jets fans - as long as it helps someone in need during this aweful, unspeakably terrible time, that's all that matters to me. God bless everyone affected by this terrible tradgedy!! Rise up New Orleans and make the rest of the nation proud!!

hey i know you guys want to donate through finheaven, but if there is no way you can always donate through www.redcross.org
Yeah, last year when Ivan hit my home country at a CAT 5 status we were devastated but the Red Cross with its myriad of channels were able to get people tarps, potable water, blankets, clothes, very morale boosting when you have people with help and stuff to keep dry. Definitely donate to legit organisations, ear mark it for the Katrina fund and that money will come in very handy.

i just put up my best friend and his girlfriend from biloxi - unfortunately, he won't even know if his house made it or not for some time...

What in the world is that dot on the the middle of FH's forums? Oh, nvm, it was a bug on my pc monitor......

BUMP

I just heard a report on CNN that they have seen Sharks swimming in the streets of N.O.

6:40 am.

It will be interesting to see if that was eroneous or is that a factual report.

Alligators I could believe, but sharks???????

New Orleans Aftermath

"We are looking at 12 to 16 weeks before people can come in," Mayor Ray Nagin said on ABC's "Good Morning America, "and the other issue that's concerning me is have dead bodies in the water. At some point in time the dead bodies are going to start to create a serious disease issue."

I won't ever be able to come close to imagine what it must be like down there. We all sit here and complain about the QBs we have and this n' that, and it's okay, it's human nature.

But I just want to send my deepest prayers to these folks whose lives have been ruined. You can delete this post or move it or whatever, but this is real life, not the NFL.:patriot:

I agree completely Spurz, there are more important things. My thoughts and prayers are with them as well.
