Let me first start off by saying that Ricky Williams is one of my favorite athletes of all time. Let me also say that I didn't like him as much when he was playing for us at the time. I understand that may sound crazy to most, if not all of you. As we all know Ricky has just been bashed by Joe Theismann. I would like to say that Joe Theisman is way off line, and quit honestly too stupid or narrow minded to understand where Ricky Williams is coming from. I dont want this to turn into a csych (sp?) paper, but Ricky Williams not only has to be the smartest athlete I have ever seen but also the coolest. To me Ricky is one of those people who get F's in school but then get 1600's on their SATs, while others work their whole life to be succesful. He's a person who we all wish we had talents like but IMO he could care less. How anyone could see that as a negative, seems to only be caused jealousy, Joe Theismann. I nor any of you should give a sh*t what Ricky does with his life.
Is it me or is it rediculous to say its bad to smoke weed when half the nfl or 100% of the nba does. He does what he wants and just so happens he can play football like no one else. Maybe I'm a little forgiving be we have the best RB in the league... Ronnie B. He also called JOe T. a puss when he said he always apolgises so I thought that was funny. Ricky's sweet because he doesnt care, thats a lot cooler than being an anaylst until your 90.
 
i personaly like ricky williams, i think he is an amazing football player and always gives it his all when hes out on the field, and i appreciate his unique character. However this is not the biggest reason that im so greatful to have ricky on our team but when you look at things if it wasnt for rickys sudden retirement we would not be the team that we are today, we would of never of gotten ronnie brown, we would of not had nick saban as our coach, we would most likely not have daunte culpepper as our qb (deff not with speilmen as our gm, and we would most likely not be as enthusiastic as we are now heading into next season...all things happen for a reason and i will be looking foward to rickys return next year

What, preytell, makes Ricky so smart in your opinion? Is it doing drugs? Getting caught and retiring instead of facing the consequences? Or being caught again?
Ricky is not one of the sharpest tools in the shead!


BTW its spelled "psych" not csych

No I remember one time I was watching a game and they were giving a lil background on him and they said he had an IQ of like 175 or something, it was really high, and he reads a ton of books and is real smart, and he wanted to be a teacher.

I understand what you're trying to say, man. Unfortunately you're just going to get bashed for it. On this board you either Hate Ricky and call him a drug addict or say you only want him because he's a good player.
I like Ricky Williams as a human being, he's a good guy.

People with high IQs aren't necessairly smart. As for the books, anyone who can read and has as much time on his hands as Ricky does, can read alot of books. I'm just not convinced of Ricky's higher levels of intelligence.

I disagree. I like ricky as a football player. I just don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shead. I seperate his intelligence from his football abilities
 
Let's see, a man had all the tools in the world, teamed up with Wanny to wreck my favorite sports team, and mostly wasted his talent for the love of weed...now he is playing in Canada because he doesn't have pocket money. Uhm, I can feel sorry for him and hope he can turn things around...but why exactly would I praise him?

Quite honestly you obviously arent very smart, because a 175 IQ is a genious or close to it...and IQ stands for Intelligence quiotent which stands for beign smart. nice try though:sidelol: .
 
he does serve some praise and he is the bigger man by not letting joe smoe get to him.
 
You guys are all so narrow minded.. can you get your pea sized brains out of football for a second and understand that doing what you want is not bad.............it may be bad for you, because he was a great help to our team but, im sure he doesnt care and is prob. smarter than all of you and a better athlete; hes prob. laughing at everyone who hates him because hes smarter and a better athlete than almost eveyone who doesnt appreciate his own wants.

LOL

Try taking a course in psych testing and assessment sometime. Intelligence quotient means the potential that a person's intelligence has. Not how smart they are. Your speaking to a graduate psych student. I think I know a little more about the subject than you do. As far as 175 being genious, that would depend on the test Ricky took. Be it the WAIS, Wexler, etc.
