MERGED: Tannehill looks sharp in Trainingcamp

There's Hope!! All I got to say is ... WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES!!!!

LAST YEAR ... folks were chanting, 'We want Orton' ... then preseason fans were gaga over Henne & lovin' on the meatball

Now finally ... we have some REAL & VIABLE QB options & a new coach who seems to be showing promise.

Hope Tannehill continues to make progress ... along with the other QBs ... and the rest of the team!!

Isnt it
amazing a season makes !

But in all honesty... I'll sit in the minority and hope he sits and learns for a bit. If your going to put him the line of fire. Put him the best situation to succeed.

I believe the preeseason will show the game still has to come to him.

Twenty. Tannehill had 20 starts in college. RG3 had 40. Luck had 38. You can't replicate that experience.

Sit him. He has a limited body of starts in college as a QB. Pro scouts aren't idiots: if here were instant starter material he would've been gone in the first 3 picks ala Luck and RG3.

Start him too soon and bad habits develop, and you can stunt his growth. Many successful QB development paths follow this route.

I've waited 20 years since Marino to have a legit QB, let's give him every opportunity to succeed.

Garrard is a one year band aid at best. If someone offered up a decent pick or player, I would take that.

Garrard has the best shot to be our opening day starter. He ain't getting traded unless it's a stupid good offer. Like Hue Jackson giving a 1st rounder for Palmer-type stupid.

Trade our best qb? R u a jets fan?

2 days of training camp and we have a best qb? From reading the reports today , Tannehill looked the "best".

So was Pennington. I wouldn't trade that season for anything.
I would have traded that season for a real qb in the playoffs that year.

It's great to see that T-Hill has started out well. It's also great too see that he wants to win the QB competition and be the leader of this team. To often with Henne and our prior QB's they all just said "I will do my best and let the coaches decide". There was never the desire that I feel T-Hill has. Last, Sherman said T-Hill actually organized throwing sessions throughout the summer with the wrs's. I remember T-Hill and Ocho using twitter to set up a session but didn't see any other reports. How the hell do our supposed beat writers miss that. It just goes to show how ****ty they really are.

I would hang onto Moore until last preseason game when teams can get desperate. If SD calls, just ask what they would give up for him. They say 7th rounder, keep him until last game. You might be able to squeeze a fifth rounder out, particularly if they showcase him in first couple games and he looks good.

Then next year we would have two thirds and two fifths. Strong set up.

not to mention he is a philbin guy.

AJ Smith isn't exactly the portrait of sanity, so maybe we could roll him for a few picks and ship him Moore.

It's actually been 3 days and Garrard's been dusting off Moore going back to OTA's.

I never have understood the "don't want to hurt his confidence" argument. If he doesn't have confidence and is able to recover from a bad outing whether a rookie or 2nd year player doesn't matter. If he is not ready he doesn't play. If he is and is close to Garrard and Moore, pay him.

Tannehill has a lot of confidence, he a ****y son of a gun and I love it.

How many college starts did that hot dog eating Sanchize have on a studded USC team before getting the reigns in Jersey?

While I think he sucks, someone as bad as him was able to come in there and be SERVICEABLE. I think Tannehill brings a much better game to the table.
