The defense cannot answer the bell

they get points and they choke, they get a lead they choke, they have choked for ten years now when we need them, clean out the mess and keep taylor and thomas and the draft picks and start over with guys that have some fukkking balls

Maybe Yeremiah Bell can answer the Bell now that he's in

It's typical.. they keep us in the game, but when we REALLY need them.. they are nowhere to be found.

they have choked in too many games for me, let me list a few

minnasota with the division on the line
new england with the division on the line
the jets on monday night
tampa last week when it was 10-7

no blitz=3rd down conversions

Reggie Howard=Poor coverage and poor tackling which = Big plays for marginal players.

2002 Week 17...

I was at that game. Double digit lead late in the 4th, and they pissed it away. Never trusted the defense again in big situations..

The only starters from last year that are back are Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Junior Seau, and Sam Madison.

Top ranked defense my ***! Year after year when the defense needs to step up they let a team drive down the entire fricken field for a touchdown.

Remember the Bengals game last year? They never recovered from that.

Can Wes Welker play defense? He can't be any worse than Howard!

I find it hard to fairly judge our D.

What I mean is that I do see them collapse and fail when I think we need them to most step up. But thats part of rooting as a fan and always expecting them to shut a team out.

But I think more importantly its the O-Line which continues to fail at controlling the line of scrimage and controlling the flow and pace of the game. We cant establish a power short yard consistent running game which would allow us to march at our pace down the field. I think we have the ability to break a long run, but thats not always the best thing if you compare it to a more methodical drive.

Because of our O-Line issues on running and pass protection we continue to limit our D's freshness, and we fail to dominate and put TD's on the board and install stall and kick FG's.

I dont know which side deserves the most blame, but I think its more our O than our D even when the D breaks alittle.

they've always given up 3rd downs, they've always given up leads, they've always been dominated by powerful running attacks, etc. saban will get more defensive players in the draft this year for sure

I know there is a lot of cyber space, but don't waste it on nonsense threads such as this. :shakeno:

they have been on the field the entire game, it would be nice if our offense could get a first down.
