Good. Just asking, can he play NT?

Weird, that wouldn't be the guy I would want to claim, but then again I mean they are the ones that watch film on these guys and evaluate so whatever.

I wonder why he was a cut victim? I wonder if this will get us into the Jets O- playbook, he's been seeing their new offense daily.

Here's something I found on the Jets website. It's no longer on there because he was cut. It's cached on google.

Signed to the Jets practice squad on September 27, 2004.

Tim McGill comes to the Jets from the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League. In 2004, McGill started 13-of-16 games and posted 11 tackles, one forced fumble, two passes defensed and one sack. In his 27-game career, McGill has totaled 24 tackles, one forced fumble, two passes defensed and three sacks.

He's 6'2, 320.

Mueller and Saban know more than we do, but McGill was certainly not among the bigger name players that have discussed here as possible signings or waiver claims.
I wonder who we will cut to make room for him?

According to the article, 7 other teams put a claim in on McGill. That's a lot of action, about a quarter of the league was willing to hand a roster spot to this guy after the 53 man cut date. That's a pretty good sign for the guy's talent. The impetus for so many claims being put on him seems to be his play in NFL Europe where he garnered first team all-Europe honors at DT. With only 1 sack and 17 tackles, obviously the dude did it on word of mouth as a run stuffer too, so that speaks highly of him. Seems the Jets really wanted to try stuffing the dude on their practice squad again but could not manage it this time around after everyone got a look at the dude in Europe.

First Glenn, then McGill. We must really thank our rivals on this one.
