Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan of the NFL Network were just discussing the fallout of the Schaub to Texans deal and said in connecting the dots,( Capers drafted Carr as the first pick in Texans history) The Dolphins would be a great landing spot for David Carr. What does everyone think about that proposed move?

certainly can make all the throws... but i question his ability as a leader and his drive to win...

Wow this thread appeared faster then I expected. I knew it was going to happen but I would hope it wouldn't. Miami seems to be rumored for every free-agent QB and/or QB's that may or maynot be traded. I just find it funny how ESPN always ties Miami's name to any QB speculation out there.

As for Carr himself its hard to say, I think if he is released I would not mind having him as an insurance policy in case we run into the Dante of last season. I prefer Carr to Trent Green and its not even close. However this said I am not willing to give away more picks on potential QB's.

Was Carr lack of production an issue with the Oline in Houston or was it that he has 2 cement blocks as feets and has no pocket mobility? Miami's line is not exactly the envy of the league he might have issues behind our Oline also.

I am impressed that you included the connection of Carr to Capers and not just blindly saying "We should get David Carr because he is available!".

Carr would be a better fit in a team with a decent to good O-line. He may develop into a good Qb if the line can give him the time he needs to make plays. Miami, as of now, doesn't have that type of O-line.

I have heard that Cleveland was entertaining the idea of trading for him. Maybe, the Browns will go for him. That gives us an even greater chance to get Brady Quinn thru teh draft.

I think it sucks, and I would appreciate it if it were never suggested again. Thanks.
