If he gets taged there is NO WAY he becomes a Dolphin
I just don't see us giving up that 1st round pick and I REALLY REALLY would love to see him in a Dolphins uni'

If they tag him I think he gets sold to the highest bidder, if he refuses to sign a codntract with anybody but the teams that are on his list it would keep the asking price a lot lower.

Forget about him becomming a Fin if he gets tagged . . . we could give a #1 for Peppers or even Boldin . . . but we aren't giving up a #1 for any OL.

He is actually handling this pretty brilliantly. Dallas doesn't have a first to give, I've heard that the other two teams are NFC south teams, which won't happen, and if the AFC team is us like some of the rumors say, you know that the Tuna will not give up a first and then some for him and then give him a monster contract. He basically trying to call Carolina's bluff.

I agree with that, but these things usually still don't work in the players favor.

Dallas doesn't have a 1st round this year but they could offer a future 1st

Dallas couldn't afford to sign him. Ware is going to get the biggest contract ever next season!

You know I didn't even think of Dallas not having a 1st.
that is very wise of him. he is going to back them into a corner.
the sad thing here is when a player wants a new contract people are all over him complaining that he should play it out. Pepers played his contract out now he wants to go elsewhere and the team has the right to block that. That does not seem fair to me.

I can see the reason for the franchise tag, but I think the rules need to be changed that you cannot trade a franchised player. That is unfair to the player and would give GM's an incentive to be wise with their cap money.

If someone gets tagged it's going to be Peppers and I dont See Miami giving up a 1st for him either.

It's really disheartening when we don't even have a player valuable enough to franchise with the exception of maybe Ronnie....tell you just howybad our player aquistion folks have been in past years.

Bell is probably worth the tag, especially concerning his age and injury history. The price for safeties is not crazy, something like 6 million a year. No RT imo is worth the OT tag. You do that and you are giving them the average of the top 5 LT in the league. Not smart.

It would be nice to have a CB worth 9 million a year though!

opps I don't read what was said eailer

We've got people worth the tag, Brown, Long and Bell come to min. It just depends on the situation each year and obviously the first two listed above are in no need of being tagged.
Some other people have made the argument that Crowder or Carey are worth the tag and while I may disagree, I can understand the value of keeping them.
