I just threw-up a little in my mouth thinking about giving a 2nd round pick for Miles Austin. Im with other guy. Why would they have given up 3 draft picks for Roy if Austin was good or even starting material. Why wasnt he playing over Crayton if he is decent. In 2008 Austin had 13rec, 278 yds, and 3 TD. For his career he had 18 rec, 354 yds, and 3 TD. So in the other 2 years he played he had 5 rec, 75 yds, and 0 TD. Here are some other players I would rather have in the draft that are 5th round or later.
#1 Darius Passmore-Marshall--6'3",186 lbs, 4.48/40 ---5th round
#2Mike Wallace-Ole Miss--6'0",289 lbs, 4.35/40--5/6 round
#3Brennon Marion-Tulsa-6'1",185,4.49/40--5/6 round
#4Marko Mitchell-Nevada-6'3",210,4.45/40--5/6 round
#5 Mike Jones -AZ ST.--6'4",203,4.51/40--6th round
#6 Aaron Kelly-Clemson--6'5",190,4.53/40--6th round
#7 D Byrd-LSU--6'2",195,4.45/40--6th round
#8 David Richmond--San Jose St--6'4",203,4.54/40 7th/FA
#9 Jaison Williams-Oregon-6'5",240,4.53/40 7th/FA
#10 Greg Carr-FSU-6'6,211,4.63/40 --7th/FA
Just saying I would rather have any of these guys for a 5th round pick or later rather than trading a 2nd for an unproven 4th stringer from Dallas. Id say there will be a few good WR fall to UDFA this year like Bess. IF not I would rather us try to sign , Nate Washington, Devrey Henderson, Mike Clayton.
Oh yeah and the Rams are trying to trade Torry Holt who we could get for a 2nd maybe even a 3rd. And maybe Chad Johnson can be had for a 2nd. Its not logical no matter how much BP or anyone else likes Austin
