Merged: The Official Ryan Grice-Mullen Thread

Like I said before we will find out at the end of training camps and if you are right, I will give you your credit. I still say he can make the team and I still say Ricky performed poorly in the CFL.

Don't want credit - I say RGM is in BC by the CFL end of the season - you don't turn up a great player that no one likes such a s a Wake every other year... Wake BTW had a few suitors when he left the CFL

WoW, I have never seen someone want a guy to fail as bad as you want RGM, Rev. I don't what is the grudge you hold or perhaps you just want to make your point. I will root for RGM till he makes the team or is cut. I really believe he can make this, if he does not make the team I can see him making the practice squad. Regardless, you should never root against a guy trying to make your team, kid has come a long way and he deserves to be rooted for.

I'm definitely not rooting against him - I really want him to do well cuz i think he has promise (although I'd be a little bitter becuase the BC Lions are my CFL team and he never lived up to it there). But he's really going to have to show something I never saw in the CFL.

Btw, regarding his hands, in BC, I recall him fumbling several times both on receptions and returns. I remember one game near the end, BC had a great chance to win it but he dropped the ball in the end zone, and it was a very catchable ball. I never watched him in Hawaii, and I don't know what he's doing in the OTA's, but it's going to have to be a lot better than that.

12 teams offered Wake a contract when he left CFL, so I'm sure thats not what you meant rev kev.

Hey, here's an interesting article about RGM with the BC Lions last year. It raves about his potential - but to be honest, he never really showed a lot of it even after the article was written...

Thankks Gasped.

I think the reunion with his best friend and now mentor can really help him. It was reported Bess has taken him under his wing and is coaching him up, that should really help him.

Like I said though, maybe he can put it all together now?

I heard RGM was injured in practice a couple days ago. i guess they're keeping it quiet.....

He was practicing on thursday and Im sure if injured it would have already been reported, not calling you a liar. I know Turner is out of OTAs.

PUH-LEASE... Roberto... This is RGM not John Beck...

Instead of calling names and getting all drama queen on me..., answer questions

Contend with RGMs 2009 CFL stats...? They are what they are...

As GasPed has already stated - a BC Lion fan I'll add - was disappointed as I - the guy fumbles and muffs catches like everyone else - as I mentiond he doesn't break ankles or appear to like contact in the CFL... What's left for him...? Ex Lion and current KR for the Steelers - Stefan Logan is a player however - and we cut him in BP & Sons first year

Apples to apples this is WR Kelly Campbell - still kicking around NFL practice squads to my knowledge

These were WR Kelly Campbell's stats in the CFL in 2008 - at least he cracked 1000 yds and had 7 TDs

I don't think there's any guarantee they'd take him back.

I think the CFL will open their arms to pretty much all the guys who abandoned ship to see if they can stick in the NFL... Let's just say that RGM is no Darnell Clash I know you get my drift...

Everyone would like to see him succeed but REV is just pointing out (the obvious I might add!) that there's no magical potion that makes a kid all of a sudden catch balls and become a better return man like alot of people think he's going to be. Just because a former teammate is on the Dolphins doesn't mean anything in how RGM will perform, but history does and history shows he's done nothing in a WR friendly league.

Our practice squad kids have more of a chance to help us out then RGM does, but for those who'd rather be blind about the whole situation behind RGM then I hope it works out because it would only benefit us as fans.

Darnell Clash, Devon Ford, Larry Crawford, Neon Leon, Logan - so many great Lions returners. It's blasphemy to put RGM in the same sentence as Clash!
:chuckle:
