Sorry if old. :dolphins:

I'm not glad Ricky is no longer in the picture. I think Ronnie can carry the load and put up great fantasy football numbers, but I would rather have that committe thing with Ricky Williams. That committe thing was the best One-Two Punch in the NFL.

Ronnie will real focused on doing so and he has really prepared himself to be the main back in the backfield.

The good news is, we still own him on the cheap for one more year. This will allow the full development of Ronnie Brown and THAT could be a good thing. I worry like hell about the injury prospects but I think Nick is addressing the o-line to improve the game of all of our backs. With a punishing o-line Ronnie could become dominating and the other three could become very good. The moon would have to be in the seventh house for us to go to the SB this year. I feel next year, when Ricky IS back we will be a "true" contender, but that only happens one game, one play, at a time...we shall see....

While Brown may not have the same speed as Williams, he has the same potential for explosiveness, with a bit more durability and versatility. Brown is a big reason for me picking the Dolphins to return to the playoffs, as the complement for other big reason -- a Saban-coached defense.

i really hate it when people call themselves experts and dont know CRAP!!! ROnnie is faster than Cadillac... maybe not as explosive but he is is FASTER!!! people get that straight...

that is unless he was talking about ricky

I love this piece: "This team is about ready to smash some people, and Brown will be its most smashing success in his second season."

I had a chuckle over this also. Being a bit more durable was also entertaining.

My thought exactly! What is this guy talking about? Ronnie IS faster. Both straight ahead, as well as sideways. Ronnie is also more agile and has much better hands. Making him a more complete threat out of the backfield. Why didn't he mention any of that?

If Gus Frerotte was still the QB I would worry like hell about the injury prospects of Ronnie. I think we will be a more balanced offense this season with the addition of Daunte Culpepper.

if im not mistaken I thought Ronnie Brown ran a way faster 40 at the combine than Caddy Williams
