Merged:There is no accountability-PBP article/Marquee Sack specialist

Thanks, but it's not a Joe Schad article, it's by Karen Crouse.

That was a great article, thanks for the link.

For those who cant be bothered with the hidden coded message it reads this way;

"Subliminally fire Rick Speilman.Sack Dave Wannstedt. The organization is accountable.Sam Madison is hurting. The fans are mad.The Dolphins are such a mess. All hope is gone.No more excuses.Bright days are not ahead.Out with the old.Love isn't enough for South Florida."

Ouch. What sucks is that I don't think anyone thinks its a good idea just to sack Wanny 3 games into the season and promote Forester. We just need to get through the year and rebuild the franchise from within. I think this year can be summed up with:

"One step forward, 9 steps backward"

Anyone else catch only the bold words?

I noticed that the bold words were messed up. But the article was spot on.

I agree - and I haven't seen anyone suggest this (though I don't read all the posts in every thread). Forester has not proven yet that he can be an effective OC, much less a HC. But what has been suggested is sack Wanny and replace him with a new HC that has promise - and several alternatives have been mentioned.

I am with you, however, in that we should ride out the season with Wanny and not add to the turmoil at this time. At season's end, there will be much more information on the state of the Dolphins which should lead to better decisions, whatever they are, being made.

Not impressed. i get the impression that it is ok for ricky to bail. NOT! I get the impression that its wannys fault that Boston got hurt. I get the impression that this chick has not differentiated herself from any one else in the media world.

Well...c'mon Muck...Spot on? Please.

No one can blame Ricky for leaving? That's a pile of crap. Ricky is a pot head loser who quit on this team.

She preaches hopelessness and no accountability. It's not quite hopeless yet and the fumbler was fired (Brightful) and Wade Smith was demoted because he was held accountable for sacks.

The spirit of this article is messed up. It is too selective and plays on the emotions of fans. But, it is written by a woman...so I expect that.

It's a great idea as obviously this year isn't going to be a playoff. So we can at least start looking towards the future without Dave.

As for Forester, not sure where you got his name from, it would be Trestman or Bates that would be promoted.

From within? Who from within is worth keeping, much less promoting. Id rather dump the whole coaching staff and start fresh

You missed two points:

* The first line is "Fire Rick Spielman."

* Sam Madison is hurting "chemistry."
