Hi all. New to the boards so be easy on me :D . I'm just wondering what happened to Fonoti? I don't think he was signed pased last season & I'm wondering if he's even an option for them at this point. I'm not saying he was an All Pro in San Diego & in his short stints with the Vikings & Bucs but shouldn't the new staff give this guy a shot & see if he's healed from past injury's? Let me know if anyone has heard anything about him.

I'm sure he would come at the vet minimum and is still young with loads of potential. I'd love us to bring him back, especially after missing out on Dielman.

someone on this board has a sig of him and it cracks me up everytime

First off welcome to the site. I think we will bring him back. We need o-line help badly. But it would be at the leage minimum though.

Until Fonoti signs with another team, he is always an option. If he can keep his weight under control he can be a very good run blocker. Cam and Houck saw Fonoti in San Diego and let him go. Houck saw Fonoti here last year and still we let him go. That tells me they are not happy with his play.

Yeah see, that's what I'm worried about. It would be a shame cause I thought he had potential.

He left San Diego after Houck, and Houck brought him here last season. I bet Houck wants him back for next season, and given the fact that we are thin at Guard I think he returns.

Toniu Fonoti/Levi Brown

Does anybody know if we are trying to re-sign him? If I'm not mistaken he was only signed to a 1 yr contract. It looked like he was starting to make progress and drop some pounds. I thought he'd be back for sure with Cameron coming from San Diego and his past with Houck. He's only 25 also so its not like he's past his prime. He could sit and develop behind Shelton and get cheap playing time later in games.

I'm still sold that we should draft Levi Brown.. we need a Tackle and Brown had a hell of a Combine and could possibly still be left at 9. (Depending on what Houston does)

Our potential O-Line is scary (on paper that is)

RT/LT Carey
RG Shelton
C Lehr
LG Hadnot
LT/RT Levi Brown

Everyone with the exception of Shelton is 28 yrs old or younger.
