Well Certify me then. You could not get the #1 pick for so little guaranteed. We have so many drafts from so many teams that none of this picks are special. We would still have another #1 plus 2 sevenths. Plus that is 4 good players at best and even last year its questionable to call Roth or Alabi good players yet. I would trade even in hindsight those players for the #1 pick because only Crowder seems to be special. This would be the stupidest trade in NFL history for the team that gave up the number one pick. Not attacking you but if you think that giving up those 4 picks would be the stupidest trade in NFL history then you know very little of NFL history.

their are alot of great players from the NFL that was not pick in the 1st or 2nd round, the dolphins need to rebuild, and QB is not the olny position they need help at so to trade 4 picks to get a QB who will need at least a year maybe 2 to get fully adjusted to the NFL system would olny hurt the team, Miami needs the other picks to fix any other holes in their team, also their are other QB's in the draft that some may say is better than Lienhart, or Young. Also what happens if Lienhart gets hurt of turns out to be the next Ryan leaf, what happens then? You cant get your draft picks back, look at Taylor and Thomas, they were not 1st round pick and their one of the best on the team,

are you crazy? just about every GM would make that trade cause you are going to be trading possible good players for a great player

but your not getting a great player, he has the potential to be a great player but right now hes not, Their are QB's Miami can get with out giving up 4 draft picks, ex: Philip Rivers, Lienhart proved hes a great college player but has not proved to be a great NFL Player. he could but i would not take a gamble and lose all those draft picks

Giving away the majority of our draft for one unproven QB is not the way to build a team for the future. Crowder was the 3rd and Daniels 4th round pick, both these guys were huge for us this year. Roth being a 2nd round pick might not have contributed as much but he played behind a stout bunch (Carter, Holliday, Bowens, Taylor...). M. Wright was a supplemental pick from this years draft, and he also looks promising. With Wanny at the helm trading these picks might not have been so bad, because he was so poor at evaluating talent and would have wasted most of these picks anyways. Saban has shown that you can get value from the entire draft and I would rather have those picks than give them up for a maybe.

Essentialy you would be losing three picks since you get a #1 back plus you have a #1 already. So you have a chance for two studs. Its moot anyway because no team will trade the top pick for so little value.
But tell me you would not have traded our previous years 2,3,4,5 if it meant getting the top pick last year if we had a pick at 16 in the first round instead of 2nd. When we drafted Thomas there were just as many misses taken before him by our team Dorien Brew, Kirk Pointer, Lacurtis Jones, JerisMcphail, and Shane Burton. The year we took taylor we took Ronnie Wrd and Brent smith in the third round. No matter how good Saban is there will be plenty of misses in rounds 3-5 so its better to get a potential franchise QB then waiting till 3-5 where the chances are much less.
