MERGED: Wade Smith SUCKS

Early in the game, watching our OL getting dominated, I was very upset. The truely sad thing is this.....It eventually became comical.

I was laughing at them. They were so bad, I had to laugh. It was like watching 5 retarded monkeys trying to block a herd of raging elephants....

Nobody, not even LG J. James looked like they even cared. They all looked lost and uninterested. Feeley gets blindsided, lucky to still have his head connected to his shoulders, and nobody even goes to help him up. LT W. Smith, who was most responsible for the sack, turns and jogs off the field without even looking at Feeley.....

What's wrong with this picture????.... :shakeno:

PHINZ RULE!!!

See the QB position is a skill position. There's a lot of factors involved. Feely will be better once we get the oline fixed, the first thing we gotta do is release Wade Smith. What a dud. Its not that hard to block. Sometimes you miss some, but not EVERY SINGLE ONE! :fire:
Miami does not need to release Smith. He will be fine, in time. You have to be patient with young guys. He really and truly still should not be on the field right now.

The problem in his devlopment has to be the coaching. Since the whole line looks horrible it cannot be every player.

Get a quality line coach and I think you see Smith take off.

I sure am glad Dave traded that 2nd rounder for Wade Smith.....what a coup!
Relax on Smith everyone. He will be fine. Last year we blamed the players. Now 4 of 5 are gone. The line looks worse. The only consistent is the coaching.

The fact that Smith looks worse this year than last and that fact they had to cut Ruddy so McKinney could start proves the these coaches cannot develop young OLman.

without an o line this is going to be a long season. they were utterly useless. we cannot run.

yeah, but what about the play where he left the man untouched and he waltzed up the field like a pulling guard??
I was just referring to that one play. Criticize all day long, but do not blame players for screw ups they might not have made.

As for the play you are talking about. For all I know that is what Smith was suppose to do. As fans we do not know the blocking schemes for every play, so it really is hard to tell when a man comes in untouched who is to blame.

Did Smith screw up or did someone else screw up?

Smith looked slow last night, as did every lineman, but like with many things. If they start to play well then they will get faster, because they will be enjoying playing. Last night they just looked like they wanted to go home.

This team is headed down fast and you can only look in one direction for the reason why.

Every personnel decision made in respect to the line has been a failure so far. Whether it was replacing Coach Boudreau( who seems to have done a pretty good job in Carolina); putting to much faith in the oft injured Dixon and Nails in 2003( and not finding adequate depth for their inevtable injuries; not making resigning Wade a priority; not developing McKinney or Smith into even average NFL linemen; and moving up in the draft to take a player that cannot crack a pathetic lineup; it all looks bad,the list can go on. The Dolphins replaced 4 starters from last year; 3 of whom are judged unworthy of even backup jobs by 31 other teams and are by all early indications even worse than before.

How is this possible?
I am not great fan of this coach, but thought the gloomy comparisons to his tenure in Chicago were a little off base. No longer. It is crystal clear the Dave and co. have completely mismanaged either the talent evaluations or the player development on offense. Chicago is still trying to repair the damage done by Hurricane Dave; how long will it take here?

BRAVO...
I could not have said it any better myself. I agree 110%. Bodreau would at least coach guys with little talent and make them play. Wise actually has some talent and does not know how to coach that!?

 Now this is a mature statement. Because some do not give knee jerk reactions to things, then someone has to be our boyfriend.

Grow up, you are listed at 25 years of age, not 12. Time to start acting like it.

Not every player comes into the NFL ready to be an All-Pro or even decent. Smith is struggling right now, as is the whole OL. To say Smith should be cut is asinine. The guy has the talent to play the position. He will be fine given time. Its not like he is the only OL not getting it done.

If DW/RS would have done their job correctly last year, Smith would still be on the sidelines learning where he should be, but since they rushed him in there then its going to be tough on the job training.

I agree with Dphins4me, the line looked lost. They looked like they did not have any idea what they are supposed to do.

 25 or 12 .....I still enjoy poking fun at people who argued so passionately and were so obviously wrong but still can't admit it.

He does NOT have the talent to play the position. Where you got that statement from , I have no clue.

And I could care less if he SHOULD be struggling right now or if he SHOULD be on the sidelines. He's in the game for my favorite team and embarassing the Miami Dolphins franchise. Get him out of there !

Besides, thats more quality time for you two if he gets cut.

You are not poking fun. You are looking like a child. Look like one for all I care, it matters not to me.

If every player were cut based soley on their play when they were young and raw, then the leagues talent level would seriously decline. If Miami cut Smith then there would be 31 other teams going after him.

That is the error in your judgement. If Miami gets better coaches then Smith will play better. The fact they have yet to develop any young lineman should scream poor coaching to everyone. Yet some take the easy route and expect every player to be NFL ready and should know everything about how to play a position.

Sounds like some repressed feelings are trying to come out.
