merged: Wannstedt plans to start both QBs/ " Call a spade a spade"

Well as long as he doesn't do what Reeves did in Denver a while back, he alternated 2 QB's on every other play, Tommy Madddox was one of them and Moore (forget his first name) was the other . Imagine that happening in a Fins game.

I formally call for Dave to resign or be fired!!!!! :yell:

This is by FAR the worst coaching job I have witnessed since I became a fan of the Dolphins in 1981.

I do not care what any of you will say. I am negative on Dave NOT the Dolphins.

Leadership means to lead not to WAFFLE. I think instead of calling Parcells he should have called Steve Spurrier and asked about dual starting quarterbacks.

Dave is trying to save his job instead of doing what is best for the Dolphins long term.

Another lost season!!!

This is insane, make a decision, and stick with it. Cmon Wanny you're getting paid to make tough decisions as H.C. stop flip-flopping!

With the exception of the Feeley quote at the end, this was all said BEFORE the Titans game. I don't know why the writer had to bring up old news. I'm really beginning to wonder if they may actually want devisiveness.
"devisiveness" I like that word.

I personally think it was the same comment that was said before the Titans game. If Feeley comes out on Sunday night and has a good game then he will remain the starter. I'm glad that Fiedler stayed because there is still a chance that Feeley needs more time to adjust, believe me, I hope he's ready and I think he is going to be very good, but just incase we do have Fiedler backing him up.

Actually guys I just got a copy of the phone convo between Wanny and Bill last week on the QB situation:

Miami Herald: Thursday September 16, 2004
-Dave Wannstedt calls Parcells for QB advice.
September 13th conversation via telephone:

Wanny: Hey Bill, its Dave...
Bill: $hit, uhhh HEY Dave, whats up...
Wanny: Well I was wondering what you think I should do with my Qb situation? I dont know who to start, any idea? I mean AJ has more potential, but Jay has the correct mouth, lips, and jaw placement so he never rakes me at all.....
Bill: (chuckles) haha, (sarcasm) well maybe you should start BOTH QB's if you cant decide (sarcasm)
Wanny: yeaaaaaaah you know I think I should...... kinda like a wishbone formation, only with TWO QBs! Or maybe I should just start a different one every week!
Bill: (chuckles) insert laughter here (chuckles)
Wanny: Thanks Bill, Jay's comin over so I need to get the wife outta the house. Bye.
Bill: (laughter)
---Sidenote: I bet wanny hangs onto Fiedlers ear's and guides him...:roflmao:

He needs to make a decision, no more qb off and on's.

re: Wannstedt plans to start both QBs

I can't take this anymore. I used to be among the few that used to stand up for DW but not anymore :fire: . Hey Dave, this isn't college football, and your not Visor-Boy Spurrier. You don't rotate QB's in the NFL!!!! You do that and you'll employed Not For Long. Just pick one and stay w/him. How do u think AJ ofr Jay feel if they get pulled everytime they make errors? They'll never be confident and there will never be any chemistry w/the rest of the offense. It took DW the whole offseason th decide that Jay was the starter... and then he pulls him after a half?!?!? Jay is no Dan but I have seen games where he's stunk it up early and played well late. The result of not having a set starter is confusion and chaos... which is what the Fins offense looked like.

There seems to be no logic to his decisions. An example is last week vs the Titans: earlier in the game, he goes for it (and makes it) on 4th and 1 INSIDE his 50! Later in the game, the Fins desperately need points and he's on the Titans' side of the 50 and he decides to punt. His challenge selections always baffle me. He makes ludicrous statemets like saying before last yr's Titans' game that the Fins will be the best rushing team this season. Then, he says that this will be the best Fins D ever. He is just so.. so... discombobulated!!! AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!! As a defensive coordinator, he's pretty good but he is not head coaching material. He can't even pick the right offensive coordinator. He picks a guy w/no experience over 2 guys ob the staff that have pretty good track records. His reason is that he wants to maintain continuity for the receivers and QB's. Well, I guess a QB rotation will sure give 'em that continuity, won't it?... NOT! He picked this guy because he'll match DW's conservative style and Trestman or Sullivan would have probably opened it up. Indirectly, DW (or his philosophy) is the reason Ricky Williams flaked out (this by no means excuses what that backstabber did, BTW :fire: ).

DW, you're a nice guy but that's not what wins games. This is DW's swan song unless some miracle occurs. I say we go after LSU's Nick Saban next yr before this defense gets completely wasted.

Having said that... go Fins!!!!

LOL! Wanns gets dissed for being Ultra Conservative and now bashed for thinking outside the box.

Once again us little Dolphins fans realize that we are not in charge and we don't get our way.

Or, we could just take his word in not to reading too much into the SI comments. Nah! There's too much hate for that.

The over-reactions really do make me laugh though. Keep it up fellers. :roflmao:

hey ive been reading these post for about 6 months now and i finally am posting my thoughts. dave is the biggest joke this franchise has ever seen. speilman goes and trades for booker and gordon so this team isnt a total joke this offseaso and dave wants to play two quarter backs the whole season. this is starting to look like the controversy in cleveland a couple of years ago with couch and holcomb. i think we can all say that we are not going to win the superbowl this year but next year we will have a hell of a team with chambers, boston, booker, and gordon. lets pick a j let him get his playing time and chemistry with the team and see what he can do if he fails horriby then we can put in feidler but until feeley messes up it is feelys job to loose not fiedlers

If he continues with this MORONIC idea, he's done, DEFINITELY!!!!

If stupid land is outside that box then he is definetly outside the box.

Uh we pay their bills, not the other way around. Eventually public uproar will have the desired affect. God I hate complacent people, it's lazy. Remember you guys had a revolution once, and guess what, it worked!!!!

The problem with this is unless AJ lights it up on Sunday I have no doubt that this really IS what he'll do. Have you not seen this man coach?? Have you not seen or heard his interviews? Can you not realise that our team is teetering on the edge of mediocrity and it's solely his fault?

Good thing you get a laugh out of it Mr. Superiority, the rest of your fellow Phin fans aren't as amused about losing as you obviously are.
