Mark my words, if Feeley can string together 2-3 good outings, we'll never see Fiedler again.

I'm reading about how Wanny is saying he's going to play both QB's different weeks. Well guess what? If Feeley has a good game this weekend, that talk will be all over. AJ has a chance to settle it once and for all. It's all just talk from Wanny. I'm sure, deep down inside him he wants a QB to emerge. Mark my words, if Feeley can string together 2-3 good outings, we'll never see Fiedler again.

I agree completely. Wanny wants to win. AJ stepping up will help the team win. He has had to play this carefully to not alienate his veterans that are loyal to Jay. Jay's performance opened the door. Nobody can dispute that AJ should get this chance. Good performances by AJ will seal the deal.

Jay was promised an open competition by Wanny. If he had gone back on his word, the veterans would not have been happy.

Regardless if you are a Feeley or Fiedler fan this is not good news. Make a damn decision Dave and live with it.

"Perhaps the reason Dave Wannstedt has declined to give either of his starting quarterbacks a season-long endorsement is because he is planning to start each at different times this year.

The weekly matchup will decide the starting quarterback -- unless one player improves so much, he becomes the clear choice.

'I called Bill Parcells and he told me, `You gotta do whatever you need to do every week in this league to win,' '' Wannstedt told Sports Illustrated. ``This will give us the best chance.''

Wannstedt said Wednesday not to read too much into the SI comments and instead concentrated on what his public stance has been since the start of the season. What is that stance?

''We've got to focus and take in each game and make each game a life of its own, a battle of its own that we have to line up with and do whatever we can as a team to try to win this week, that's what we have to do -- at every position,'' Wannstedt has said.

That clearly is not what Miami players want. Several, including tight end Randy McMichael and receiver Derrius Thompson, believe the coach should pick a quarterback and stick with him.

McMichael said Wednesday that alternating starters, ''can destroy offensive chemistry.'' Neither Jay Fiedler nor A.J. Feeley is exactly thrilled about the musical quarterbacks situation, either.

''It's kind of one of those things where we're here at this point right now and we have one guy playing this week,'' Feeley said Wednesday. ``That's how you have to approach it . . . I guess the past would show that the one-quarterback system works best.''

This just really ticks me off !!! :fire: Not your post, but the fact Wanny calls Bill Parcells to ask his advice !!!!! :fire: :fire: :fire: Man alive, why dont we just send Parcells a check and a Nextel phone with a Walkie Talkie feature and let Bill tell Wanny what to do all through the game !! :fire: I mean piss, he could tell Wanny what play to call, what defensive alighnment to use, whether or not he should go for one or two, if we should kick a field goal, punt or go for it on fourth down. Bill could make the decision on what other players to use to, the running back, receivers, etc...maybe Bill could even tell wanny whether or not to challenge a play with his little red flag if they could someway get Bill a satelite hookup and TV on the sidelines at the Dallas games so he could see the play and decide. I have been behind Wannsteadt every year, but this bull---- is getting ridiculous ! :fire: Play Feeley and only Feeley if he is the QB here of the future and get some chemistry going between the offensive unit ! McMicheal all but said the same thing ! Unfrigging real !!!!!!!!!!!!! :fire:

Wanny on changing QB's

(On rotating quarterbacks week-to-week) - “I saw that headline today. I wouldn’t put a whole lot of credence into everything that I read to be quite honest with you, depending on who says it and what the source is. I expect A.J. (Feeley) to go in there this week and play well. He’s had a good couple days of practice and I’m optimistic of him getting better every week. Now, am I worried about next week or the week after, or 10 weeks after that? No, I’m worried only about this week.â€Â

LIVE FROM THE LOCKER ROOM

with the rotating QB situation, maybe Wanny is making teams prepare for both QBs........

:roflmao:

sorry, i gave Wanny too much credit there.

Playing 2 Qb's not a good sign....Calling Bill Parcells not a good sign...Wanny doesn not know what to do or what he's doing...

Who's coaching this team Parcells or Wanny?

The location: Bill Parcells office.

*phone rings*

Parcells: "Yeah, this is Bill, what do you need?"

Wanny: "Uh, hey Bill, Dave Wannstedt here, I need some... got an idea..."

Parcells: "We don't want Fiedler, Dave."

Wanny: *nervous laugh* "No, no, I understand that... I just wanted to know if I should start him again."

*Assistant enters Parcells office, looks at Bill rolling his eyes.*

Parcells: "You're thinking of giving Jay ANOTHER start?"

Wanny: "Well, uh... yeah it has never been done in the NFL...a rotation of QBs I mean."

Parcells: "Never successfully, yeah." *Places hand over phone and whispers to assistant*

"Dave wants to rotate between Feeley and Fiedler."

*Assistant pales and stares in shock*

Parcells: "Uh, yeah, I would think... you have to do what you have to do to win games in this league Dave."

Wanny: "Really? Wow, I thought it might destroy both guy's confidence, keep the whole offense in a state of disarray... but it seems, like a neat idea."

Parcells: "And they call you conservative?"

Wanny: "Ha! Yeah, I should have done this years ago, well, I guess I did with Jay being hurt all the time... but now it will be official!"

*Parcells places hand over phone again and says to assistant: "Holy crap! I think he is SERIOUS about this rotation! Like I'm going to give this guy good advice after LAST THANKSGIVING?"

Wanny: "Well, uh, thanks coach, great to be able to throw ideas past you."

Parcells: "Are you really serious -uh, I mean, yeah. Great idea, Dave. Pass my number on to the new coach, okay?"

Wanny: "Yes, thanks Bill. We coaches have to stick together, right?"

Parcells: *shakes head sadly* "Gotta go Dave. Take it to the Bengals Sunday night, alright? Bye."

Wanny: "Uh, sure, maybe I should rotate every quarter?"

*click*

Wanny: "Hello? Uh, hey... okay... goodbye." *shakes head and says to himself* "New coach? Oh, he must have meant Forester?"

*Parcells sits a moment in silence, then looks sternly at assistant.*

"If I EVER start thinking crap like... that QB rotation?"

Assistant: "Yeah coach?"

Parcells: "Shoot me. Shoot me in the head."

Assistant: "You got it coach."
