Since I live in Rhode Island the sports radio stations are all Patriots and yesterday they had Wes Welker on and today they had the Patriots GM Scott Pioli and they said some interesting things.

Wes basically said that he had his heart on going to the Patriots and if he hadn't gone there he would have been really disappointed. He also said that deep down he used to wish that he was on the other sidelines when we played the Patriots.

The hosts asked Pioli about Wes and he said straight up that at no point did they talk offer or even discuss an offer sheet with Wes, He said that the Patriots first called the Dolphins about trading for Wes and the actual deal was made in a couple hours with Mueller.

I don't care what Wes says..... He was a special type of player that gave his heart out on EVERY play. You don't see that type of player much any more. If he always santed to be a Pat, congrates to him for now being were he wants to be. I will miss seeing him on our sideline and will fear him when we play the Pats. Best of luck to him, but I still hope to see the Pats lose every single game!

"yeah, I've hated the Patriots the entier time I've been with the Dolphins and I wish I had the power to block the trade."

That would have gone over well. Im sure any player is happy to go to a team that is a perpetual SB contender.

I get what you're saying but I think it's different here. It's one thing to kiss the local media's a$$ after you've been traded but to sit there and say you wished you played for New England while you were a Dolphin?

I hope Zach and the defense take note of this.

Im happy he's happy in NE, but did he have to say he wish he was always on the other sideline??

Why does it seem that NE takes alot of our players and they end up having a ring prior to us??? There has been a lot in the last 6 years. I think over 10 players have went from being a Fin to being a Pat. It is truely sad.
