We're REBUILDING, remember?

Yeah, it would be nice to overachieve, but we are one year off a 4-12 season. Patience bites the big one, but this team has a future as a contender. Sooner rather than later IMO.
 
yup...a 2-1 start kinda gave people too much hope for this year, although it's perfectly healthy to expect greatness

I just don't see it yet.....I expected some improvement. Remember we said it was all coaching last year.
 
I agree but

These last few games I have seen few bright spots to say "at least we are improving" In fact, especially with the unbelievable penalties, I see some regression. Still hoping for 8-8.

This game was horrible

Really? I said it was coaching, O-line, Running Back, QB...

Anyway, this team has a lot of holes, Saban is not god, it's going to take him more than 5 games to make us contenders. The sooner people understand this, the happier we'll all be.

What he said. When I saw some of the optimism here earler I felt like saying that unrealistic optimism is fine as long as you can live with a great deal of disapointment.
 
Long Term Future

This is a question to everyone on the boards. How many years will it take for the Dolphins to be a contender again, lets not forget that Saban has only five years in Miami. Also what does everyone think will happen to the Fins record next year if we snag a QB through free agency (forget the draft) and he is a young QB like Schaub, Volek, or Rivers. And the Fins also make other key acquistions in the drat and FA.
 
OK, we are definitely a rebuilding team.

Come on guys, we all knew coming into this season that it was going to be a transition period.

Don't start pointing fingers to individuals, weather it be a certain coach or player.

Give Nick Saban a few years. We need a few more drafts and a few more free-agent signing periods. We are way under the cap for next year. We have all our draft picks.

HAVE PATIENCE!!!

Bill Belichick went 5-11 in his first year with the Patriots.

Peter King said that Saban is a top 5 football coach on the planet. Give him time.

We are a team on the rise, just have patience!!!!
 
I agree 100%. Sometimes the worst time to be on this site is right after a loss.
 
seriously... dolphins we top of the division and all the sudden every one thought we were a superbowl team lol.....

its rebuilding... but we are still competitive...im enjoying the season..
 
That is exactly what I don't get. Before the season, most "analysts" expected another 4-12 season, yet we've got a chance to win again at home next week, go 3-3, and be on top of the division(if NE goes on to lose, they are down 14-3 right now). 8-8 would be a HUGE success for this team. People on this board expect the bounce back to come so quick, and they expect us to be 5-0 right now. :rolleyes:

Well, it definitely is the only time I visit the main boards...after a loss. It's just funny as hell seeing threads downgrade so many players, then when we go home the following week & grab a W...those are our heroes. :lol:

I don't really visit the main boards during the week because I'm sick of the newbies.

Yup, yup, YUP, YUp, YuP, yUP, yuP, cant say it any other way....! I dont think it will take more than 3 years. I say one more offseason...then we rock and roll on the road to 07 at home.
 
It's ALL about the future with this team.

We are going to be really good once Nick Saban gets HIS players for HIS system. It was the same deal with Belichick, and it's the same deal with us.

Just wait.
