I live in Miami and people keep calling the local stations down here asking about some Warren Sapp rumor?? Is he even a FA?? I can't see us giving up anything to get him but the continued phone calls are kinda disturbing. Anyone else heard about this junk?

You know what, I heard the same thing last night. I was listening to 790 the ticket and somebody called in saying "What is the latest on Sapp?" The people on the show didn't really say anything, but I was wondering why the guy was asking about him. Other then that comment, I haven't heard anything to think that we are interested in getting him.

I heard it yesterday twice and a buddy called me a couple of minutes ago saying he heard it again today. To my knowledge, he's still a Raider which makes it even more puzzling.
 
Interesting. Maybe there is a rumor going around that Sapp is on the trading block or something like that.
 
i hope not warren is a sapp lol hes too exspensive we have DT's we dont need him those rumors are prolly bs he is really good but why trade away what we already have for something we dont need

Being a Canes fan I love the guy but he has no game left....to old and beat up!:dolphins:

I've been hearin from other people that on 790 The Ticket..They reported that Miami has some interest in Warren Sapp..

Is this true or false?
 
someone posted this like an hour ago, i believe he is still on the raiders, and even if he is cut, i hope we do not go after him

He hasn't done anything because he's one of the best 3 technique, 1 gap penetrating DTs to ever play the game and he was on the Raiders where he was a two-gap end - his responsibility was to read and reach, thus not penetrating. This leads to much lower sack totals and tackles; basically, he is a plug.

True for 2004. In '05 Coach Ryan let him play many snaps as the under tackle and he was terrific until being ko'd at midseason.

The key to your analysis is that it is all in the past tense. Warren Sappp is just a body at this point in his career.
