Who quit?

Just curious who the players they interviewed might be referring to. Whenever a team looks as bad as Miami did yesterday, it's hard to point out individuals. Personally I think Sam Madison may be who they are referring to. That drop was a killer, and he got beat bad a couple of times. I have to think they were referring to the defense, but maybe I'm wrong?

They are probaly some veterans who haven't bought into
Saban's system and now that the season has went into
the toilet ,some have given up.Nick needs to take these
final games and weed these players out.

Well, apparently it was Holliday that said it. But, there's no indication on who is was directed towards.

My opinion, hes talking about Sam. Dropped INT, beat in coverage a couple of times, but also a couple of the times he had a chance to make a tackle. Didnt seem to be a whole lot of effort on some of those plays.

Every body except the equipment manager quit. Actually they were never in it to begin with..

agreed though, Sam Madison should be playing his final 6 games as a Dolphin. It is really sad - he used to be good. He looks like me tackling guys out there. I feel sorry for him.

Some of the other secondary guys, maybe a linebacker or 2. You just know if D-Lineman are pissed, they are pissed at the guys behind them.

I just have to say this about Madison:

I have been this guys supporter since was a rookie and played nickel, then got his chance at starting. I have his jersey as one of the ones framed and on my basement wall along with Zach, and JT....however, it is appauling how far he has fallen. It makes me sick to see certain people here still stick up for this guy (as far as he is still good, never got beat on X play). Even sicker though that I have to feel this way toward him. Madison deserves to start, he is all we have to go with, but I don't appreciate his play or attitude!! And I don't know if he deserves to be back with that attitude and salary.

I recall an interview of him, Zach and JT back at the beginning of the year. Zach and JT were upbeat and saying things about liking the scheme. Madison?....he had this look on his face the whole time like he didn't like it. Like God forbid someone changes the way he has to work. When asked how he liked Saban spending so much time with the DBs and being in their meetings he said with an obvious non-aceptable non-verbal facial cue. "It's different". this left a very bad taste in my mouth after watching that interview on ESPN.

I think it is clear Sam is being a bit of a baby because at the end of his career it is time to rebuild, his buddy Surtain was traded, and they had a losing season prior. To that I saw BOO HOO...don't make your last 2 years here destroy 7 years of respect and thanks you have earned

It's kinda funny that it was DL players that said it. How many yards did Droughns (sp?) put up on them? Though, I really don't disagree with them. The only real effort I saw yesterday came from R&R and the O-line (such a nice change). Oh, and Jones, which is an effort I would prefer to see less of.

Why do you feel sorry for him? He's getting paid.

F him...I felt like choking him after he dropped that int. Right after Thomas got hurt...I really wanted to choke Madison...if he makes that int. 1) Thomas would not have been injured and 2) We would only be down by 9 points not 12.

Go Fins!!!

Gonzo, about 1/2 of Droughns yards came on 1 run. I hate to say this, but the 2 guys who had the best shot at him were Travis Daniels (in the backfield) and Sam Madison - about 3 times, but he never got in position to make the play. Madison could have stopped that run at about 20 yards. Daniels could have made it a loss of 3. It was a broken play. You can't pin that on the DL.

You know whats funny, and I said this on another thread, is when I read the title to this thread is immediatly thought of Sam Madison thinking everyone would bash me! Did anyone see him try to tackle a WR by just laying on the ground? He is an embarassment. He flat out suks and has for a long time!

Here's what really ticks me off about Madison. He still trash talks out there like he is something special. He is talking smack all game long, and he is SO bad. He also hurts the team with stupid penalties, many of which are of the 15 yard variety. I could tolerate him much more if he was humble. At this point, humility is the only difference between Madison & Howard (IMO).
