very soon. That would be next step in current gameplan. If that gameplan holds, who will they be? I am going to put Carroll in a special category. Most of us believe he is #1 choice, but probably will not accept. Therfore my final 5 are:
(Not who I want necessarily, but who I think might survice the first round)

SEE CURRENT TALLY/COUNT ON PAGE 3 #42

Don Capers
Tom Mora (new)
Brian Schottenhiemer
Ron Rivera
Cam Cameron (new)

dont like some. Gailey? no thanks, dont need old roots, Schotten? dont know much of. martz i woudlnt be disapointed but he donest run much so not sure if i wnat that. Capers no thanks, keep him at D Cord. I like CC to be on that list with a few others.

Blah, How would anybody have a clue? I haven't seen the slighest evidence that the dolphins favor any of the coaches they have interviewed besides carroll.

Capers for HC and hire Martz as OC. Wayne can make Martz very happy to be OC in Miami. If it doesn't work fire Capers and hire Cowher next year when he is free and clear.

A three-headed monster of Capers (HC), Martz (OC), and an un-handcuffed Mueller (GM) might pay nice dividends. You would probably have to give Martz the title of Assistant Head Coach in order to get him from the Detroit or it would be a lateral move. (Does anyone know if Martz already holds that title with them?)

I would be probably be more happy substituting Brian Schottenheimer for Martz, personally, in the above scenario.

:dolphins: Well i never posted before, but i feel that we need to stay far away from "college" coaches. In my mind,i want Ron Rivera. He knows how to coach and his players love him.:dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

Why don't the Dolphins just bring in every coach they interviewed and have Huizenga do an apprentice type show with all of them. Whoever survives is our coach!

That is an excellent idea. Imagine watching Wayne grow some nuts, it would be the first time he has had to fire a coach, and he would have to fire 10+ of them. But we dont have the time for that. We need to find a new coach before Oakland and Arizona. I dont want the leftovers like Oakland got last year. If I were an offense type coach I would look at Arizona and Oakland over Miami. Arizona already has a large quantity of talent on offense and would only need to supplement that on the OL and Defense. Oakland offers Randy Moss, a young talented defense, and the #1 overall pick in the draft. Miami offers a bunch of B class recievers, a young RB with breakout potential, a often confused defense with plenty of age issues, a decent but sometimes underachieving oline, and to top it all off, a quarterback situation that offers nothing but questions. Who would you pick if you were an offensive coach?

As for defensive minded coaches, we dont need one, that is, unless we find an expectional Linehan-type OC. But if we did land a Martz OC, or someone big like that, then I would have to consider Miami the top candidate for any defensive minded coachs list. Why? You ask. Our aging defesive front is hiding a nice group of guys that have potential. Plus our team is already in the position to be drafting high round defensive talent. Most defensive coachs have the best success when drafting their own players to fit their scheme. Our situation could be very appealing to a d-minded coach who is looking to make his name in the ranks by building a solid D from raw talent.

Peace out, gotta go to class, this session will reconvene at a later time.

No can do, Martz is already an OC if we hire him then we would have to give up a pick for him

Deion Luwynn Sanders
Prime Time
Neon Deion
Nine-Toe
The Count of Interception

I would LIKE the 5 candidates to be:
Cam Cameron
Ron Rivera
Carroll
Mike Martz
Chan Gailey

I would only want them to hire Cameron, Martz, or possibly Carroll though.
