yo guys whats up i dont understand why you guys want to part ways with Daute so quickly, we can do nothing but benefit from what he does now until he is gone becuase of the acuasition of Trent Green.

a) he will get the best out of trent because competition will drive each one even harder then they were being pushed before. if Culpepper fails Trent is the starter and leads the season

b) he continues to get stronger and praticies well in training camp and maybe plays well in a pre-season game, so we get a mid round pick for him

c) he become the Daunte of old and hits teddy ginn for 70 bombs left and right

now i like choice c and i see no reason we should give up on him so quickly and i think from the organization standpoint it makes us look more classy if we let him rehab with us and then trade him or release him to a team that wants him instead of releasing him right away. i know this is a wierd post but i was just wondering why all yall are saying get rid of DC

I was thinking the same thing but since Dan Marino was run out of here by the mustache. Why should we treat anyone else different. I personally think that we should give Daunte another year but i'm not in the front office.

and to mention that the man has stated that he wants to be here and he is giving it 100% how can u not like a guy with that attitude

I think we should hold him for the preseason let him prove him self if he doesnt then cut him

Its the salary thats the problem. I would love to keep him if he would restructure...but that wont happen, Pep has too much pride.

I, for one, am ecstatic that waste of a football player is gone. He's a bum flat out. Randy Moss made him decent at best. He only wants to stay because he knows he'll be making change anywhere else because people know he's a broken commodity.

Why do u guys want culpepper out

It's kind of like when you are taking out the trash, and the bag busts and spills onto the floor.

Cam and Mueller have been taking out the trash since they took over but they still haven't quite finished the job.

Wanny didn't run Dan out, JJ did.

they need to give him a chance

last year we gave up a second for DC. played four games and was sacked 20 sometimes. thats not much of a chance to prove yourself. its not his fault the o'line sucked most of the season.

Personally, I'd like to know what the hell we're going to do with $5-6 million between now and the preseason? It's dumb as hell to just "let him go" like that. If we're still in March, fine, release him and use the cash to upgrade another position. However, that is not an option right now, so this is dumb and meaningless. Let him compete.
