Chance Beck starts opening day?

Odds are.....We pick up trent green, and he starts....at least until he gets hurt or we fall out of contention, which shouldnt happen.

We drop Daunte and cut losses.

But, what if we dont get Green for some reason? It then becomes Beck's job to lose, right?

I would hope T.Green or D.Culpepper would start at least half the season.

Cam Cameron is a new coach, which usually means he enters the team giving every QB a shot since he doesnt know them as well. except maybe lemon....but id hope he wouldnt start

I think you have to wait and see with C-Pep before you throw the 26 year old rookie into the fire. If C-Pep is 100% during the camps and preseason. Trent Green might want to think about fixing his pay with other teams as well. I have faith in C-Pep returning to form...

It takes OVER a year to recover. It did for Edge and others...

do i THINK he will start? yes. will i be SHOCKED if he started, no

i say let green or cpep start at least half the season. but honestly it wouldnt suprise me if he started early in the year. from what ive heard adn seen, this is going to do great things

I hope whoever starts the season ends the season...Because if not the means he's either hurt or unproductive...

Agreed, I just don't like the rookie QB starting from day 1 and I don't like him being redshirted unless you have a legit chance at the playoffs. At some point midway you need to make a call on your playoff chances and start working him in slowly if you don't like your chances.

Hey guys I'm also new to the message board but I have been reading the message board for a long time know. Didn't u guys hear that cam gave beck a day and 1/2 to learn our play book and he did, cam asked him one question and he answered it, but why one question, simple this young man is very intelligent and football smarts he has a cannon for an arm but the accurcey is out of this world 70% as a senior. This is the one of the best drafts the dolphins had in a very long time and how about all those hawaiians thats beastly and the full back is going to knock heads off next year. Thanks

If we acquire Trent Green, I give him a 10% shot at starting.

If we are stuck with Culpepper or Lemon, I give him about a 35% chance.

I think it would be nice if a situation liek last year in denver occured, let the vet start for a while, and if he stinks it up, give beck a chance to play, when hes had more time to sit with the clipboard and learn

Ya' know that's exactly what I thought. We were able to string together some wins in the middle of the 2006 season with HORRID quarterback play. If we had John Beck in that case as a rookie, he would've come in despite all the winning. Although it's difficult to survive with poor quarterbacking, it's possible. But I don't want that too happen because that would mean Trent Green would be a flop and I don't wish that upon him. (And yes, Trent Green will be a Dolphin.)

I say plug this guy in already. If he's as smart as everyone says. There should be no problem starting him. What do you think they should do?
