Merged: Will Poole

Yea after the way Saban did him I seriously doubt he approaches Miami again . . . maybe Cam will reach out to him . . . but we are actually pretty deep at CB right now . . . with guys like Lehan and Mitchell being our 5th and 6th CB's.

Its about Quality to me though and not quantity.

Face it. Will Poole was nothing but an injury prone player who showed a few signs of being a starter (not a star) in the league.

I don't remember his speed skills. According to the role he must be fast, but in order to fit with Cam's style he must prove to be full speed!!

Absolutely right. Also, he's not worth a thread on this website. Complete waste of time and space.

If it's a waste of time, why bother clicking on the link, reading the replies, and then responding?

On an interview b/w the big-O and Lo. Book the other day, both were talking about Poole being a great guy and how unfortunate it is that injuries have derailed his career. Big-O went on to wish him luck in New Orleans. For whatever it's worth!

i never saw him do anything dont care for him

Because when he was first drafted we already had Madison and Surtain. I still remember one of the few games Poole started (Surtain was injured I believe) and he shut down Chad Johnson.

True, but how can u consider Poole quality . . . he can never stay on the field . . . we needed him in 2005 . . . and he got hurt . . . we needed him last year . . . and got hurt . . . he was hurt alot at USC . . . I mean if he can come back, thats great . . . but Miami has spent enough time on him.

You must have been hibernating during the 2004 season (Poole's rookie yr). He distunguished himself quite well as a nickel back and more than held his own for a few games in place of both Surtain and Madison during various times during the season when they were nicked up.
He was routinely being praised by the vets on defense, including JT and ZT.
He had one serious injury (knee) and a setback last TC (stress fracture).
Saban unceremoniously dumped him.
When (if) healthy he's better than Daniels.
