ginn, cam, bess, wilford, london, turner, hartline, and white. I mean, i understand drafting one reciever, but 2? and possibly 3 with white? how are half these guys even gonna touch the ball?:err: i just hope that using such high pick this year on WR that we have a plan for these guys. i really hope that white can do all the things they say he can do.

I think it's to create camp competition. Let's see how good London really is.

well, in all honesty wilford or london better be the competition bc if we spent 2 pics on wr's to be competetion and they end up crapping it up, then we all will be pretty pissed.

white is going to be the number 3 qb, wilford is out if turner makes the team, and i do not think the regime has much faith in ginn

if the r playin under special teams would the still be considered a reciever

I am guessing that Wilford and London will be gone unless we keep 6 WRs because london is a very good ST player

Ginn is much needed in any Wildcat formation with Pat White. Ginn's speed and White's ability throw is something that must be accounted for. When Ronnie was manning the Wildcat, that option was not readily available. Also, you can't put that extra safety in the box.

Having Ronnie, Pat, Ricky, Cobbs, Ginn, Fasano/Martin, + mystery 2nd receiver, the team has many potent offensive weapons on field at the same time.

Wilford will be gone. White is not a receiver so there is two.

Hartline will have to prove himself on special teams and as a backup otherwise he is PS.

that leaves us with 5 WR's. Two of the five are 6-5/4. If Pat Turner turns heads, dont be surprised if Ted Ginn ends up traded. Not saying it will happen, but the pressure of this group will be greatest on Ginn.

Who is the odd man out at WR?

Obviously Wilford is a goner. But counting the two and a half WRs that were drafted, the Fins will go into camp with Ginn, Bess, London, Camarillo, Turner, Hartline and White (part-time) at WR. I think they'll carry four plus White. Chances are that in addition to Wilford, one of the guys from last year's WR corp, will not be on the roster come opening day. Any thoughts on who will be the odd man out?

I still think Camarillo starts out on PUP, but I think the 2 guys we drafted are locks, along with Bess and Ginn . . . . if Camarillo is healthy, he is also. Leaving out London and Wilford. London is going to need a HUGE camp.

Or it could be that Bess really isn't much more than an overperforming UDFA who made the most of being on a very limited WR corps. Of all WRS, Bess is on the hot seat, imo.

London is a guy they were really high on and developing more toward the end of the year. Bess is a guy who has maxed out his physical potential.

To me it is apparent that the FO ain't as high on slow-Bess as some on this board! lol.

Pat White was drafted to play quarterback. He will probably see some snaps in the wildcat this year, and will no doubt replace John Beck as the third Quarterback and will be there to compete with and push Chad Henne for the starting QB position one day in the future and back him up if he doesn't beat him out.

We will probably keep six wide receivers with at least 4 of them playing on special teams (two returning kicks/punts, and the others on the coverage teams)

Bess and Camarillo seem to be locks based on what we saw last year, and Ginn will have to show something, but I think the coaches want him to succeed, and he is probably the best vertical threat, not too mention his contract.

This leaves Wilford, London, Turner, and Hartline competing for the final three spots. Hartline will probably excel at special teams, so that leaves the three tall guys. I believe Turner being drafted this year has the best chance of staying on unless he just stinks it up in training camp. I am also optimistic that with a year under his belt and a full off season of work London will beat out Wilford who will be the odd man out, contract hit and all.

Just an opinion....
