With Wright's bad performance Where do we go now?

With Wright's lack luster performance, do we seek a trade now, wait to see who get's released, and re-load next year? I am for keeping our eyes and ears open for teams that may have to release someone, and if a possible trade can be done that's worth it, do it. As for Wright I wouldn't give up more then a fourth round pick for him, and that's pushing it.

I'm not sure........I'm just massively disappointed in his strength. You've got to be a friggin' bull to handle the DT position in the NFL.

there is no need to "break the bank" on the DT position, we are in rebuilding mode so saban has next years draft and Free Agency to solve the situation, i dunno which DT could help us now, thats still on another team

Perhaps there will be a team that will try to sneak someone on to there practice squad that could take some work to develop, but in the meantime could help us in the rotation mix.

We let Holliday, Carter, Traylor, Romero, and maybe a rookie just rotate it for a year and we take a DT in the draft early next year.

We cant make the same mistake we did last year with the RB position. Seeking a trade would only be a short term answer, a la the Lamar Gordon trade, and wouldnt help us in the long run.

We suck it up and play with our guys.

I agree! Maybe we can find a kid on the roster now that will step it up, or on the waiver wire.

With Grady Jackson holding out, he may become available. I don't know how much he's asking for but if it's reasonable, he'd be a good pick-up.

I don't think the workout changed Wright's status at all. He is still a 3rd/4th round pick on raw talent alone. Most picks in that range need a year or two in the program to produce.

Did we walk out because we were upset or was it a bidding ploy because we had already seen all we wanted to see?

His strength might not have been that impressive, but did anyone see his forty time... under five seconds for a defensive tackle. Sounds like he would be a good fit as an end in a 3-4 system, but thats not really one of our needs.

Understatement. For a DT it's downright pitiful.

To put it in perspective Alex Smith the TE out of Stanford did 28 reps.

What about vickerson? i have not heard anything about him since we drafted him.

i think we hold tight...carter or holliday can play there in a pinch...traylor will take timbos spot...hopefully chester can come back healthy...we also got zgonina and romero...
