According to FOXSports.com's John Czarnecki, Carolina Panthers LB Adam Seward will start the team's Week 3 game in place of injured LB Will Witherspoon (knee).

Just read on PanthersHuddle.com that an insider report is saying that Will Witherspoon and Ken Lucas are both out for this game. This should help our offense out a bit. Just thought I'd pass the word...

I think our major problem is Steve Smith, not Witherspoon or Lucas.

Seward has a motor that doesn't quit! I read he will be starting for Spoon. If So... don'tr be surprised if he does well. He's a good player, and has a lot of drive and heart.

Lucas (to me) is a big problem. Manning jr. has to step up... and or have help from the Safety position.... that'll make it a lil easier the fins to run. But, only a lil.

The Defense will beok tho this week.

I think our major problem is Steve Smith, not Witherspoon or Lucas.

Lucas is a helluva corner. Manning is taking his spot and is experienced and has had some big games. But Lucas is a more complete corner. With him out, it should help either Booker or Chambers and whoever plays the slot.
