Earlier today, the team signed fifth-round pick Chris Clemons to a four-year deal, agent Kevin Conner said. Clemons, who played at Clemson and ran a 4.33 in the 40 at the scouting combine, shined during off-season workouts and is positioned to be the team’s fourth safety.

The Dolphins also are narrowing in on a four-year deal with second-round pick Pat White, an NFL source said today.

We posted last night that the Dolphins and quarterback Pat White were haggling over contract incentives, given that White likely won't hit the back-end numbers that typically apply to second-round quarterbacks.

Well, the two sides have reached a resolution.

Per a league source, the Dolphins and White have struck a deal.

White is expected to see spot duty this season in the team's Wildcat package. Then again, maybe that's what V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells simply wants us all to believe.
