Merged x10: Hey Look! A Brett Favre thread.

I would be more excited to see Dan Marino come back from retirement. The truth is why would you guys be excited about a over 40 year old QB that can barely move because every piece of his body is broken down. He has thrown more INT's than any one person in NFL history. I could guarantee that he is not in good shape. He does not know the playbook. He does not know our recievers. We have our first preseason game in 1 week. I know our QB situation is not good but lets go with what we have and give Henne his last shot, if nothing else if you were going to throw the season down the drain with Favre, give one of the young guys a shot and see what he has.

Exactly, unless you thought that this particular team was one veteran QB away from the super bowl......LOL

Ya, and Marino is coming back too, but just to run the Wildcat!

Reaching a little aren't you? Favre played at a pro boel level one season removed, Minnesota was not a complete team last season and Favre certainly couldn't do it by himself at this age.

If the Defense and O-line play as many expect this team is a decent QB away from contending, remember how well Pennington did here a few years ago, how far we got with a QB who was decent?

With what we have on roster right now, Favre is a gamble worth taking, we have nothing to lose.

The owner wants a different coach, the coach wants a different QB, and the fans want a different coach and QB, but only on FH does that make those fans *******s.

I guess that will happen when you also have the most attempts, completions, and touchdowns in the NFL history as well.

And we were so together during our 7-9 run in 2009...smurf'n idiot. Greenie is such a flaming Jets fan.

The media is like sharks in the water smelling blood when it comes to negative media attention and right now Dolphins are the blood. No mention in the media of the chants during practice yesterday of "we want Henne"...na, that won't sell in the media. The fans and the local beat writers started this firestorm...Sparano isn't helping either with his comment...although he was just being honest and it shows me that he has less control over personnel decisions than I thought.
You got that right. Even Dan Patrick commented on the Fins today during his show, saying we "seemed like a 2-14 team". DP's hasn't really paid any particular attention to the team itself, and was merely commenting on how the team is being portrayed by the media. Like that of a 2-14 team.

Check the poll on the front page...it will tell you what Dolphin fans think about Favre coming here.....

81% heck no!! (I am one of them!)

I heard we're talking to Jim Brown about a possible starting gig as well, don't be surprised if we also take a look at Singletary for filling Crowder's void

Bring him in and trade Henne for a 4th round pick.

Not happening. Just more media hype. Jesus. Next week we'll be talking about bringing back Don Strock.

I told you the stories would come today.. expect every news outlet to have Favre to Miami story in some shape or form.

Dave Hyde must laughing so hard he ****s chicklets!

This story totally took off out of one person's opinion, Hyde ran the story now the media is now running with it full force.

I seem to remember everyone laughing when the Jets signed him.

Pot calling the kettle black.
