The Lions proposed a trade with the COWBOYS Demarcus Ware for Roy Williams straight up. ROTOWORLD says they were probably laughed off. I guess saying Ware is better than Williams. If they are offered a 1st they should pull the trigger. BUt i dont think they get anything more than a 2nd. Considering Moss went for pocket change. Adam Jones went for pennies on the dollar. Why wouldnt DET get something out of him now. If not they will have to franchise him and him being the #2 WR in Detroit makes no sense. I think we offer one of our 2nd round picks along with another player maybe Jason Allen since he sucks or Derek Hagan. Maybe they take Wilford off our hands for WIlliams and Leigh Bodden or DT Shaun Cody. Bodden has not performed like the Lions thought he would and maybe could be had.He is better than any CB we have. Cody has been a bust so far but could be a good player in BP system at 6'4" 310lbs. He is only 25 yrs old and could develop into a good playmaker in the Middle and Ferguson is not gettin any younger. I would be happy trading our 2nd and 6th round and Hagan for Williams and CODY/BODDEN wither one. But would you guys like to get Williams. And the trade would only happen if WIlliams is willing to sign a long term contract. If we have a chance to land him it better be in a trade cause if hes a FA hes goin to a Dallas or a NO or someone that can get him the ball. He would be nasty across from TO , Colston, or even Reggie Wayne. We are one of the only teams that doesnt have a big time #1 WR. We need to do something

No thanks,

He's just not worth what we'd have to give up. He's not a top tier WR in this league, yet i'm hearing ridiculous rumors like Lito Sheppard and Reggie Brown and a pick for him, or even Demarcus Ware for him which is down right stupid.

Notice how it's getting more active and heated as the deadline looms? Before, he wasn't getting shopped. Again...As long as we don't overpay, I'm ok with makeing a move but, I'm NOT about giving away anything but maybe a 3rd rounder and a late round conditional.

I have been telling everyone for weeks that I wan him here. Williams is fairly young and with how fast the Dolphins are progressing, why not grab him. Would be better than using a first rounder on an unproven wr. ONe less position to fill next year. Plus it may open things up for Ginn and could compliment him well. Just think, when Henne gets a chance to play, we will have a down field threat and i believe we could be a powerhouse. Our D needs to continue to dominate and i think we would be in great shape. Our O-line is doing a phenomenal job. Im all for it.

Are you guys serious? Not a top tier WR in the NFL??? We're talking about a guy who caught for 1300 yards in his 2nd full season. The guy could easily become top 3 in the league.

Thing is, he will be a FA next year so i don't want to give up a 2nd right now. 3rd, absolutely

Give up the 2nd the skins gave us, cause the way they are playing it's gonna be a late one. Add a player in and take a worthless, but raw, player off their roster.

I'm right on the verge of 2nd........Boy, I'd love to have that guy. But, at this point, I think you have to let him go if a 2nd is what it takes to pry him loose.

At most I would give a 4th and Wilford. Look at this years draft by the Trifecta and think about where we may be after 9 picks in the next draft. I would not go higher than a 4th if they give up a pick and then through in either Hagan or Wilford.

He may be a decent WR, but there is no way we should trade our 1st round pick for him. Trading away draft picks is what got us in the trouble we where in before Parcells came in.

Like I said, the 2nd the 'skins gave is is going to be so close to a third we may as well give it up now. Not that it isnt's vaulable, BUT RW is a proven receiver. Though I'm not convinced that with penny's arm it would even matter. I'm not too well versed on RWs strengths. Is he good at getting separation and running real crisp short routes or is he known for catching the deep ball? I do know he's quality though.
