how about Lamar Gordon for McPherson?

On tuesday Jason Cole of the Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins are monitoring the Saints's QB situation. McPherson has fallen to 4th string in their rotation and may be released. Jason said that the dolphins might bring him in if he is released. On the same article Cole said that the Dolphins are trying to trade Gordon, and will take a 6th rd for him.
I know that McPherson has been struggling (even lining up behind the guard in his first game..LOL) But the kid has enough physical talents that he deserves a look. He, IMO, is a long term project but Linehand is known for molding QB's. Im against giving up a draft pick for him, but since we havent had any takers for Gordon, why not try to trade him for McPherson? That way both teams get something. The Saints wont look too bad after spending a 5th rd for him, and we would be getting rid of a player who could end up getting cut anyways.
Any thoughts??

McPherson WON'T be released. He will be taking over for Brooks in a few years. Are you sure you heard Jason right?

who is Jordan?
maybe you mean Gordon?

either way i say we just wait and draft our franchise QB next yr

On that site there is an article about trading Jordan. Well...why not give them Jordan for McPherson? that way both teams get soemthing. They said that they would take a 6th rd for Jordan, well even with his struggles I still think that McPherson has the tools to be given a chance as a project.
We have no Jordan!!??

no, apparently he is really struggling in new orleans and is down to 4th on their depth chart behind kingsbury.

the talk is that we might claim him off waivers if he were to be released.

Of course, i meant Lamar Gordon...My bad!!
Im all for waiting for our next QB, but the way our O-line looks I believe we will be drafting a LT next year with our 1rst pick, and probably a QB with our 2nd pick. So why not give this kid a chance to learn the system now and see how he does next year. He does have some physical tools!

he has 1 less completion than Kliff, and has 4 rushes for 25 yards. I have no doubt he'll be kept on as the 3rd QB once all is said and done, especially when they knew all along that he was very raw

Good point if there isnt a top QB on the board when we pick im all for getting a Olinemen i just dont think McPhearson is the answer we have 3 backups already if they want Gordon id rather get the picks

I agree with you, I dont believe he will be released. Thats the reason I say why not trade Gordon for him. IMO both teams would get something in this trade:
A 3rd string QB for a 3rd string RB.

This is a GREAT post! If you guys remember, Warner had struggles in camp for the RAMS from coming to Arena to Pro, just the first few months. I would LOVE LOVE to grab this kid, I would LOVE IT! I think he has the goods and needs time to develope!

Keep me POSTED!!

I believe trading away any picks is a mistake. Everyone seems to think with a couple of decent trades, we become super bowl contenders. Hang onto the picks and play for two years from now.

I agree 100%, get our own home grown QB( through the draft)
