"Under NFL rules, players placed on injured reserve can't return to that team in that season. Turk, who aggravated a strained groin he suffered before the exhibition game against Tampa Bay on Aug. 27, is expected to be released from the practice squad later this season and given an injury settlement. But he can't be resigned even after that point."

that's what i'm trying to figure out. we HAD no backup. Donnie Jones came in from nowhere and filled in this preseason and did ok... nothing to write home about.ludo21 said:

I feel comfortable with Jones. If he is too inconsistent than we can always use Olindo, I think were ok. Hopefully we wont have to be punting much this year anyway.
