MERGED- Jason Taylor -NFL Defensive Player of the Year 2006

I don't give a rats *** where the Dolphins finish this year, but Jason Taylor is having his one of his best seasons ever and deserves consideration for defensive player of the year. I'll go out on a limb and say that if he continues his dominating play he will win it. What a performance, this guy is freaking awesome. Way to go JT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately though unless Miami makes the playoffs they probably won't give it to him. He deserves it though.

Some people would say Peppers... but they'd be wrong. It's JT.

Err playoffs will have nothing to do with it. Right now he's far ahead of the other playmakers. Peppers has a couple more sacks but not the INT's/TD's and has half the fumbles. Not to mention the game turning plays!

is jason taylor the best defenisve player in dolphins history?

p.s. matt roth is a beast

It would be tough to make a case for anyone else at this point. Ronde Barber has singlehandedly kept the Bucs in two games and basically won one vs Philly, but JT has been KILLING it since the Bears game. He is the single biggest reason for what looks to be a 3 game winning streak for the Fins.

Playoffs........playoffs Should Have Nothing To Do With It. Jason Is A Freak Of Nature, Amd A Beast. He Can't Be Stopped!!!!!!!!

JT is an AMAZING talent. I really don't think there is another DE playing as good as he is this year. You can give ALL THREE of Miami's WINS to the DEFENSE. And JT was a HUGE factor.

If Miami wants to keep the streak alive in Detroit, the offense is going to have to step up.

aaaah... Nawlins... you're one of the few Buc fins I never wanted to kill. :D

JT is a monster and if anyone is watching, he's definitely right up there with anyone for defensive player of the year. What a treat to watch!
