Mergedx2 Dolphins plan to sign former Giants QB Sage Rosenfels.

Thats right we open up the offense and Henne is / was rated in the top 15. Sage will do better than that and I personally think he will do quite well in this offense

I'm not on board with all the negativity around here so I give you some credit for trying to be positive but this thread is borderline delusional.

It's been six years since Sage was in a Dolphins uniform...

six years.

Matt Moore is our starter from here on out. Don't get your hopes up.

Yes! I loved me some Sage Rosenfels. Even though he hardly got a chance he was one of my favorites. He still owns the best comeback in Dolphins history and it's a shame that he never got much of a chance here considering he played better than most would have expected after he left here.

Sage isn't the best, but he may be the most exciting QB out there. He can straight up ball.

I'm so glad the Dolphins picked this season to lose.. I'm going to basic and will miss like 4 games. I'd be pissed if I had to miss us playing well.

I was always a fan of sage. Seemed to never get a real chance anywhere. Hoping he does well here in his 2nd stint.

Sage Rosenfels is gonna disappoint you...just like all those fans who left when Gus Frerotte was sucking against Buffalo and missed him airing it out to seal the biggest comeback in this team's history. Or a couple weeks later when he sealed a victory against the Jets.

Thinking Sage Rosenfels equals 0-16 is ridiculous. He won't equal ten wins in quick succession, but if he plays the guy's arm is gonna win us some games that we don't have have business winning. Those who remember 2005 should know that.

Who says the unemployment situation is bad...Sage found work.

In 2005, Rosenfels led Miami's biggest comeback since 1974, when he entered their Week 13 game against the Buffalo Bills. After Gus Frerotte was sidelined by a concussion in the third quarter, Rosenfels entered the game with the Dolphins trailing 23–3. Rosenfels led the team on three fourth-quarter scoring drives, as he through for 272 yards and 2 touchdowns, as they beat the Bills, 24–23. I think Chambers had 200 yards recieving that day.
Two weeks later, Rosenfels entered the game at halftime versus the New York Jets with the score tied 10–10, and led them on two scoring drives to get the win 24–20.

When was the last time we had a fourth quarter scoring drive for a win ??????

At least he will take shots downfield I guess.. should at least make watching us lose more exciting in a way

Sage was released multiple times to end up back with us for a reason.

Sage hasn't been "released" in the traditional sense since he left here. After creating somewhat of a QB controversy in Houston he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings to compete for the starting job when a guy named Brett Favre came back and stole any chance he had of starting. He was traded a bit later to the Giants where he backed up the QB who now has the longest starting streak in the NFL, thus he never saw the field.

Sage was out for almost the entire preseason this year due to a bad illness that even affected his back, so the Giants stashed him on IR and went with a guy who had been playing all camp & preseason (David Carr). Sage got better and strongly objected to being put on IR, so the Giants released him with an injury settlement just this week, letting him play this year.

Not only has Sage not really been released since he left here, but you might say that there is a reason why two teams have sent picks to have this guy on their roster.

False hope, Sage is not any good anymore. A career backup imo.
