Well, today the team added safety Brannon Condren to help on special teams. Condren was drafted by the Colts out of Troy State two years ago and waived a couple of weeks ago. He was claimed off waivers by the Rams, but they released him over the weekend.
Condren is 6-1 and 205 pounds. He has been told he will be on pretty much all the special teams for the Dolphins.

Wonder who got waived for this pickup. Or do you think the Will Allen rumors are true and Condren is taking his roster spot?

I always thought Condron had a lot of potential coming out Troy. In Indy, he got caught up in the numbers game (behind Sanders, Bethea, Bullit, and Giodarno), and I think St. Louis has some solid safeties as well.

Can't hurt.

because he played and practiced the worst of all the safeties we had in camp.

Well I thought he was a special teams stud so if we needed a special teams only guy. HMM where is cameron worrel when u need him.

Maybe I missed it, but what's going on with Will Allen?
There was a thread last night that mentioned that WQAM was saying Allen potentially suffered a severe knee injury. On the official site, they talked to him about his knee, but he really didn't say anything to clear up the talk. Just said he would be fine.

Other than the WQAM report, no one else has mentioned this story.

He's back in Dallas. He wanted a starting shot here but was released and resigned to his slot on st with the boys.

Jason Allen was the only one to make a big play on Special Teams on Sunday vs Texans

This is who got released

Dolphins released S Tyrone Culver.

Culver had a key penalty late in Sunday's game against the Texans, and now he's hitting the streets.

Dolphins Sign Condren; Waive Culver

The Miami Dolphins today signed free agent safety Brannon Condren and waived safety Tyrone Culver.

Condren is in his second NFL season after Indianapolis made him a fourth-round draft choice in 2007. He played in eight games in his rookie season with the Colts, all in a reserve role. He recorded two tackles on defense and four stops on special teams. He was awarded off waivers from the Colts to St. Louis on August 31, 2008. He was inactive for each of his four games on the Rams’ 53-man roster this year before being waived on October 10. Condren was a four-year letterman at Troy (2003-06) where he played in 47 games with 25 starts in his career. He posted 175 tackles, two interceptions and 11 passes defensed during that time. As a senior, he tallied 98 tackles, two interceptions, four passes defensed, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. Born August 19, 1983, Condren is a native of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., where he attended J.M. Tate High School.
