The Patriots are reportedly the first choice of free agent DE Jason Taylor.

"Great player," owner Robert Kraft said at the owners meetings. "I'm sure that can happen if he wants it." Coach Bill Belichick has long been an admirer, and the Pats could offer a legit shot at contention while picking up a much-needed pass rushing presence.

You know what I said maybe I was wrong about JT when he got released by the Redskins and he said he would always rout for the Phins. JT is the biggest hipocrite in the world if the rumors are true he is going to NE. I have lost all respect for him if this turns out to be true and hope he loses every game with and does not make the playoffs again.

Zach is twice the guy JT is he had the chance to sign with New England and turned them down.

yeah that would make me sick to my stomach to see him in a patsies uni

Didnt Zach say he would never go to the Patriots? Now THAT is a guy I want in the Dolphins Ring of Honor. JT? Meh, he is starting to rub me the wrong way. Keep in mind, he got his wish when we traded him, and we flat out cut Zach... And yet ZT is the one showing the Fins some respect. This makes me sick.

This is what myself, WV, and numerous others were saying during the period he was on Dancing With The Stars, all the way until now. Jason Taylor doesn't care about you, me, or the organization that gave him everything... the Miami Dolphins. Jason has been saying for several years, talking very OPENLY about wanting to play for NE and Tom Brady. Remember the whole "I'll trade my entire team for Tom Brady" comment back in 2007. Granted, it was a bad team, but that's not something you should hear from your team captain and a face of the organization.

Now, Jason has his chance to live out his dream of retiring in a Patriots uniform. I just hope he is a man of his word like he says, and goes up to NE. We'll see how much he loves being a Patriot the minute Jake Long knocks him on his keester.

i too would lose all respect for him if he signs with the cheaters!! he can forget about having 99 retired with us or being in ring of honor. if he signs with NE and later goes to the hall of fame, the fins should not endorse the guy or associate with him!!! very disappointing!!!

At least he can practice his Venetian waltz with Tom Tom.

It's ok Gisele honey, you don't have to be lonely... :D

I wont like seeing him with the Pats, but I think he proved his respect by playing here for 11 years. I don't see why he has to avoid going to a team just because his old team doesen't like them. I say let him do what he wants, because he no longer matters to us.

Has Been!!

If he signs with the Cheaters, Sporano and Henning game plan is pretty simple........ Just run the ball where Twinkle Toes lines up!!! We all know through the years teams ran right at Twinkie and had alot of success. I totally recall last year on a Monday night game where the Giants ran it right down the throat of the Skins and ran it every time to Twinkie's side.... where he was getting MANHANDLED!!! So Let him sign with cheaters!! Game plan? Ronnie..... Ricky.....Ronnie..... Ricky!

Yeah, I just read that. Why would that be his first choice?

If JT goes to the Patriots, he's dead to me. I didn't like the way he conducted himself here last offseason and this would be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

You guys are crazy!! If JT goes to the pats yeah it will suck, but that's too bad at, it's business at the end of day you expect him to crawl underneath a rock and die, all miami has to do is reach out, if they don't want JT fine, but don't get mad if he goes the pats, it's his own right, and they have a good team.

Jason Taylor leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. How could he possibly play for the hated Patriots? Zach Thomas was such a stud when he declined to go to the Patriots and instead signed with Dallas. When Zach said "I learned to dislike that team while playing them over the years" as to why he didn't sign with the Patriots, it verified why he was my favorite player on the Dolphins from 1996-2007, and probably ever. However, Jason appears to be just self serving with no loyalty. Going to your arch rival (or to any AFC East team) to play against your old team twice a year - that is disgusting! What a traitor. If he goes to New England and then ever comes back to live in Miami - he shouldn't expect any admiration from the locals (except for his charity work). Jason played hard and often at a Pro Bowl level when he was here and I'll give him credit for that - but voluntarily playing for the enemy just completely diminishes everything he has done to be considered one of the Dolphins all time great players. I hope Jason reconsiders and decides to join the Dolphins (because the fans would welcome him back with open arms), but this appears to be wishful thinking. I miss you Zach, and if you go to New England I hope you get frost bite Jason!

Yeah who does he think he is. I mean just b/c the Pats would give him the best chance to win a Superbowl, does not mean he should sign there.

He was treated very fairly by the team & fans when he was traded. He should have more loyalty to the team that traded him. We all know that teams have loyalty to the fans and players.

JT is just a....

Oh wait let me take off my Miami Dolphin colored glasses...that's better.

JT is doing what any player that only has a couple seasons left in the tank. He wants to win a championship. If JT thinks that is the best place...then GO FOR IT JT!!!

Some fans just need to chill, your feelings will stop hurting soon enough. JT & the FINS FO handled his leaving this team poorly. But stop all this bashing, he was an icon for this team.

Funny when the players talk about him...it's about how great he is in the locker room, how he brings it on every play even in practice.

Don't worry...he would not shake your hand either, if he knew who you are. ;)

That's cool. We'll just do what everyone else did against him last year. Run right at him. I'll take a weak side against the Patsies twice a year.
