MIAMI - Bill Parcells is speaking out, and wants it known that Jason Taylor has a place with the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins' football operations czar, in one of his first interviews since joining the franchise in December, said Thursday "of course" he wants the six-time Pro Bowl defensive end to be on the field with Miami this fall.

"Why wouldn't you want one of the very best players?" Parcells said in an interview with The Associated Press during an appearance at a Gatorade promotional event.

Parcells also downplayed widespread reports of a rift between he and Taylor, calling it "a fabrication."

I hope this mends the “fabricated” riff between the front office and JT. He needs to play out his career in Miami and retire a dolphin with his head held high. He is to the defense what Marino was to the offense.

here we go with the Lying when in when feeling pressured he doesnt want to get bashed for not wanting Taylor on the field.I think that with the way everything is going with the dolphins this is the last season we see of JT. or At least in DOLPHINS UNIFORM IF pARCELLS WANTED Taylor on the field he wount have ignored him or expressed anger when he was on dancing with the stars as much as we dont like it Taylor has never bashed anyone on the team(though hes had many chances) HE HAS NEVER done it... He has all the right to take a break and dance for stress relive if anyone deserves a break and to win its Taylor
to quote a friend of mine NUFF SAID.

Of course Parcells wants Jason on the team. He's always maintained that stance. It's Jason's commitment to the team that's been a question.

I totally agree, Parcells has always said JT will play or Retire and he has always preached about not getting rid of your good players. So, this is nothing new the media and JT have created the diversion and JT clearly doesn not want to play for us.

:sidelol::unsure: This will go down as one of the most pointless posts I have ever read...

Thanks for giving me a laugh bro

1. Parcells could not trade him prior to the draft.
2. Parcells was offered lower picks than he wanted.
3. JT put the ball in his court stating he was playing one more year.
4. Miami loses value even more.

Bottom line is JT sticking around for 1 year would not warrant enough value to trade vs. the output he gives, and the experience to help our young DE's along for 1 year or possibly more if Miami is successful. What you are reading is Parcells and CO backing down on their stance due to new circumstances. Is the gloass half empty, or half full. I say half full, I would much rather have him stick around. I think this is great news.

I agree, except with the helping out the young players part. I dont think he gives two craps about helping out or bettering Miami's young players. If he did, he would attend every offseason event he could. Right now Jason Taylor only cares about Jason Taylor and his future Hollywood endeavors.

No he isn't. In fact, not even close. He's a good player, but he's not the type of player that could carry a team to more wins.
Marino accounted for some winning seasons where otherwise the team would have been lucky to win 7 or 8 games.

I disaggree. IMO if the Dolphins and JT are not getting along teams know that the Dolphins must either get rid of him for next to nothing or he will retire. Now he says he will play for one more year and the Dolphins say that they will welcome him. Teams now think everything is good and that they will have to offer more for him to get him out of Miami. JT still wants out and BP still wants to trade him IMO. It's all a act!

You gotta love it! typical Parcells. Parcells is being Bill Parcells, the more the players think they hate him, the more they will love him. He is like a drill sargeant.

what about 2006 when he was DPOY ... he made 2 touchdowns and a handfull of sacks

putting him back to linebacker will make this defence 10 times better and this team a whole lot better

When did he ignore him? Parcells said he didnt even see him. And when did he say **** about Taylor? Hopefully all this drama can stop and we quit choosing sides and all just root for the f'ing Dolphins to progress this year. That includes the team and front office.
