McCown: Eat the $6 million over the next two years?
Beck: Give up on his future?

Who do you think will be eliminated and who would you eliminate?
 
McCown he was only here fir veteren leadership, we have that now with Pennington. If Pennington gets hurt or really sucks, then Beck will play, then Henne.
 
McCown should be on his way out. He had his chance and he couldn't capitalize on it.

We don't need 2 vets on the team. As stated earlier, if C Penn gets hurt, then it's either Beck or Henne that get the start
 
Don't the Buc's have like 32 QB's on their roster? Why not keep all these guys around to compete for the #2 spot?
 
I think we try to get another draft pick for Beck more upside less well known. We can get more for him than McClown.

I think a 3rd rd pick is about right for his possible potential.
 
I think with Chad signing we still have one roster spot open so there isn't an immediate need to cut someone, but the only thing that makes sense is to cut McCown right?.

I guess we'll get a good indication tomorrow based on who plays and for how long. If McCown doesn't see the field at all tomorrow then I would think he's as good as gone.

That would make Beck the defacto starter, at least for a few weeks until Chad gets up to speed but it becomes Beck's job to lose.

Beck's job to lose? How do you figure that? Chad will walk in and start day one.

Exactly, they aren't paying Pennington more than $5 million a season to "compete" with Beck. Thats starting QB money. He's gonna be the starter from Day 1, Beck most likely 2 and Henne 3. Pretty cut and dry if you ask me........
 
We do have one spot open. Glenn will probably fill that spot soon. We will also make cuts before the season starts. I say keep them all or possibly trade. We should not cut McCow, We already spent the money.

Beck. I think they arent concerned about Beck being the future. And rightfully so...........We have Henne.

Who's to say they really want to see that??? I know I dont. I think its a fairly safe bet that Pennington will miss a start or two at some point too. McCown is being paid backup money for a reason. He has the experience to do it. Beck is history.

I think youre hanging out with Matt Jones. If we could fleece someone for a 3rd rounder for Beck we wouldve already done it 7 months ago. Even Cam the boob wouldnt do that.
