The Lions have scheduled a meeting with Dolphins assistant head coach/DBs Todd Bowles regarding their head-coaching opening for next Wednesday.
Bowles will likely only do the interview if the Dolphins lose Sunday. If they beat Baltimore, Bowles will have to focus on the next game. Bowles' secondary made strides down the stretch in 2008 after an extremely slow start, but he probably is being looked at as a defensive coordinator in reality.

Via rotoworld....

Let hope we win!

This sucks....As soon as they see we have success, they began to pluck our team out...

Why can't they let us go on a championship run comfortably...lol

Same thing happened when they took away Linehan from us after a 9-7 season, but that didn;t seem to work out.

Try playing a bowl game without a defensive coordinator nota wise thing to do.

Im fine with Detroit Lions interviewing Bowles for their HC job. But why in the world would they schedule the interview on Wednesday of next week? don't they know thats our most important practice day of the week? ahh

edited: my bad i didnt see theres a thread already about this topic. MOD please delete this thread

i dont think bowles will doit. it would take tuna, belichick maybe cowher to do anything with that heap. bowles would be in way over his head. im sure he knows this as well.

Hate to lose him. He's apparently done a good job for us since the proof is in the pudding. Until I read the article, my initial hope was it was for Rooney Rule compliance, but then I saw that Leslie Frasier and Jerry Gray, two seriously respected football guys are also scheduled. Hope Todd does well enough to impress but that it's one of his competitors who knocks their socks off I guess. Actually, hiring a minority coach who, with some patience, can turn around Millen's folly, does make a lot of sense considering the market.

wamma know what sucks even more parcells is also talking to team

IMO the Lions are interviewing Bowles to fulfill the requirements of the Rooney Rule. Hopefully if they do decide to hire him as their head coach, they won't announce it until after our playoff run.

That cheerleader to the far left....I think she is black....Man she is so fine. Everytime you post.....I get all emotional. I'd like to give her an interview to satisfy my Rooney ruler.

Well coached secondary this year, did a lot with little talent. Certainly improved by seasons end (Andre Goodman had a tremendous finish). I'd hate to see him go.
