MERGEDX3: Dolphins claim LB Tearrius George off waivers

Why is this name so familiar? I feel like we signed him to a Futures Contract back when we signed our PS guys after the season ended.

Could be wrong though.

I thought we had signed him before also but it was never reported that we claimed him until Feb 2nd. He is also NOT listed on the Official Roster yet.

You're right, he isnt on the official roster, but we DEFINITELY signed him when we signed Hilliard, Lowber and the rest of the PS. Or at least it was reported that we did.

Interesting.

"I'm just trying to do my duties and be a part of the team and help the team anyway I can. If they tell me to punt I'm going to go punt. I don't know how to do it, but I'm going to go do it."

"POSITIVES: Speedy pass-rusher who can be a disruptive force. Fast off the edge and plays with a good degree of quickness. Keeps his pads low to the ground, gets leverage on opponents and drives up the field on contact.

NEGATIVES: Lacks a physical nature to his game and not always willing to jump into the pile. Slow shedding blocks and displays marginal hand technique protecting himself.

ANALYSIS: Flashing skill at defensive end, George must improve the details of his game to have any chance at the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent " from an SI article... seemingly

interestingly, he also played in the CFL, with the stampeders.... but what surprises me the most is that he played the 3-technique, not DE or OLB, in the CFL....

with wake and him signing with us, i guess we're trying to find our own james harrison, the guy who no one managed to devellop earlier in his career

Maybe MIA isn't interested in drafting a LB at #25 as many are obsessed with us doing apparently. I'd rather go Delmas or an OL...unless a good NT drops.

BP is going to bring in a whole bunch more LB's. we will have a totally upgraded lb and db defense. Hell the added lb's at the end of the year is why our special teams started to play better., We are going to play alot tougher schedule but our defense is going to be alot tougher also. cant wait.

it almost sounds like your saying qurios george...lol

Another weak side guy...

Just some competition for camp. Even if we're willing to give Roth anther shot at the SOLB position, we still need another starter at ILB. Whether that be Dansby, Scott, or someone in the draft, we will still be acquiring one, and investing a lot in him, IMO.

We need a WR very bad, camarillo is coming off knee surgery and Bess is more of a #2 or #3 option , Ginn at best is a #2, we need a stud opposite the guys I just mentioned, weather we get one in FA or draft one that falls in the 1st round.

Yes, we need a true #1 WR. But therein lies the problem. Parcells wont pick a wideout on day one. Just wont happen. He wont pay a 31-year-old TJ Housh a long-term mega-contract (probably rightfully so). So what options does that leave? Guys like Toomer, Engram, Bryant Johnson, Malcolm Floyd, Miles Austin... bodies that will be thrown into the mix, will have a set role, and will perform that role when called upon. Just like Brandon London, who "started" in our single-WR sets, the coaching staff will find a way to use all four or five receivers that are active on gameday. IMO we will continue to build an unheralded WR "group" until a bona fide #1 WR hits the FA market. And yes, that may never happen, but this team wont be built from the outside inwards. At least not as long as The Tuna is running the show.
