Yes, we need a true #1 WR. But therein lies the problem. Parcells wont pick a wideout on day one. Just wont happen. He wont pay a 31-year-old TJ Housh a long-term mega-contract (probably rightfully so). So what options does that leave? Guys like Toomer, Engram, Bryant Johnson, Malcolm Floyd, Miles Austin... bodies that will be thrown into the mix, will have a set role, and will perform that role when called upon. Just like Brandon London, who "started" in our single-WR sets, the coaching staff will find a way to use all four or five receivers that are active on gameday. IMO we will continue to build an unheralded WR "group" until a bona fide #1 WR hits the FA market. And yes, that may never happen, but this team wont be built from the outside inwards. At least not as long as The Tuna is running the show.
